Roberto Affordable Painting-Unlicensed Contractor

Unlicensed contractor Roberto Valdez with Robertos Affordable Painting overcharged me for my job. He charged me about $133 an hour for his employee to do the work, the work is typically $25 an hour. He did not do any work himself, just pays the guy $100 of the $1,200 he charged me for 9 hours. He never gave a bid, just did the work and surprised me with a huge bill that is 5x the going rate and basically threatened me if I did not pay. He also tried to charge $17,000 for $6,000 worth of material for a roof job that he was bidding. He is not affordable. He is a scammer. Unlicensed contractors can only get paid $500 per job, if they ask for more you can refuse to pay them and report them to the contractors board.
