Horrible company with zero follow-up. Cabinets falling off hinges and paint chipping and peeling. Refacing of kitch and bathrooms. A nightmare to work with..makes promises she. Ever keeps. Save yourself aggravation and find your self another company that is reliable! NEVER recommend IDEL DESIGNS in Escondido, CA.

I am very happy with my new cabinets. Idel turned my old farmhouse style cabinets into a shaker design at a reasonable cost. Highly recommend.

Edgar was our installer from start to finish. He's a true craftsman. He has very high standards which matched us as customers. This is uncommon in our experience. The process took longer than expected, however travel time for these workers in San Diego is substantial. Unquestionably an excellent outcome. Very pleased.

We just completed a project with IDEL and I I would characterize my feeling as very satisfied. It all started when I posted a request for a custom cabinet/bookshelf builder on Angi and IDEL responded promptly. From the very beginning, they were very reliable and sensitive to my needs. I had a unique situation whereby I needed two custom bookcases built into an existing space. Dennise contacted me and scheduled a visit immediately. The IDEL designer (Edward), came out and was very professional. He took all of the measurements and, within a short period of time, presented me with a CAD design prototype view. At every step of the project, they kept me informed. They were very diligent in making sure they were building exactly what I requested. They called me to their shop to view the progress of the product on two occasions. They met every milestone to my satisfaction. The installation crew were very skilled and experienced. To be perfectly candid, I saw a few of the negative reviews about IDEL. I ignored them and decided to give IDEL a chance and I am glad I did. I strongly recommend them for any projects of this nature, and I will avail myself to anyone who would like to confirm this information with me directly.

I wanted to restrain my kitchen cabinets and Idel Designs was recommended to me by my neighbor. They have excellent painters, they nail the exact shade of brown that I was looking for. Thank you Idel, now my kitchen looks great

Hired them to do a cabinet refacing. The first person they sent had no idea what he was doing- wrong screws, did not hang anything level , everything had to be redone because the cabinets would not open properly. They had to come and repaint twice, we found cracks, wrong hardware, wrong screws and a plethora of other problems. At this point I am trying to get the ownership of the company to stand behind the work I have paid for, and have reached out to Homeadvisor for assistance with this issue.

They were excellent at working with me. This company finished the installation great.

We were very impressed with all phases of our experience working with them. We enjoyed meeting the owners Edward and Denise as well as the men who did the installation, Marcos, Elias, and JP. Everyone did excellent work and they were very easy to work with and we give them our highest recommendation.

This is not the company to use if you are looking for decent cabinetry work. They are the textbook example of overpromising and underdelivering. Previous ratings are high. However, ownership recently changed from Henry to Denise, workmanship, and service have gone downhill. As part of a kitchen remodel, we were mostly looking for 2 drawer modifications, a small bookcase, 2 very simple shelving units, 2 additional drawers, and soft-close hinges everywhere. We ran into many issues. To name a few: the master designer is unaware of the City Code; poor communication between the designer and the installer; the installer either does not show up or was several hours late; our rather small job required 10 visits over the course of 8 weeks requiring us to reschedule the fabricator multiple times; measurements were wrong and the work had to be redone multiple times; nails were sticking out, leaving the wood of the shelves chipped; the 4 new drawer fronts did not match the existing kitchen cabinets, both in design as well as material (they actually tried to get away with wood substitutions, using maple and MDF instead of oak); the invoice amounts were wrong. We ended up project managing and tracking in detail what was still outstanding while keeping in touch via email. Most emails included the owner Denise, who not once reached out to help move the project along and to apologize for all the delays and the poor workmanship. We had considered hiring them to also do the countertop and the cabinet refinishing work. We are so happy we did not do so. My advice is to not hire Idel. But if you do, wait to pay them in full until all issues are resolved. They ignore you once they are paid. You are on your own to fix the results of their poor workmanship.

In response to Idels comments to my review.....It is NOT true I tried to hire your workers for other projects. Two of them approached me to do work that they were performing for you. One was a cabinet guy that said you had designed the cabinets to not be strong enough, he wanted to â enhanceâ them. WE brought it to your attention, this was at the start of the project. The second was your counter top guy telling us we had PLENTY of left over material, if we wanted to use it, he would be happy to do other work with it, for us. The â electricianâ was a nightmare, we hired another contractor to fix all of those mistakes. Be aware, they had a previous owner that had a good company, they are not the previous owner and did not perform to those expectations.

The team is great and very accommodating.

Idel Designs remodeled our kitchen. They demolished and fabricated a new one. They also took care of new floors, sheetrock modifications, countertops and tile installation. The process took over 5 weeks. The project was finished in a timely manner. The quality and service provided by the owners, Dennisse and Edward was excellent. They always answered messages and phone calls, proving that they care about their clients needs. We are definitely satisfied with the job and we would give them 5 stars!

Good overall experience. Scheduling could be a little better to avoid long days. Stick to the company and avoid hiring from the outside.

I am not satisfied. No customer service. Had to hire another contractor to fix their mistakes. Would not recommend them.

They are very unresponsive, not customer oriented, does not produce what is promised very cheap quality.

Henry and his crews stripped and stained my oak cabinets, and installed a quartz countertop and tile backsplash. Every phase of the project was conducted by skilled professional. They were meticulous in masking and draping areas to keep them paint and dust-free. At the end of each day, they very thorough in cleaning up. I would not hesitate to hire Idel Designs again. They are not the least expensive option, but real quality comes at a price.
