Genesis Glass Tinting

I purchased an upgrade of ceramic film. The windows now 2 1/2 years later are scratched ad flawed. I have been unable to reach the company to see what can be done. For the upgraded tint, I'm extremely disappointed. If I get a call back and response, I will upgrade my review.

great service, friendly, but pricey

When I arrived he showed me examples of the different finishes available.  I did spend a little more to have a light film applied to the front of the car (the back was darker). It took longer than I thought it would but I'm pleased with the outcome.

He told me it would take an hour and a half or two hours and he didn't give me any inclination. I was waiting there and it ended up taking three hours. I wish they could have given me more warning that they would double the time. I was a little annoyed by that. I don't know if I would recommend them based on that. They gave me a great deal from Angie's List, so if someone could get a great deal like that, they should.

My car was done at their shop in Escondido amd finished with 2 hours

They were very good. It was a simple job but the installer did a good job. He was on time. I would use their services in the future too.

I called Genesis on a Saturday and spoke with Todd, who was polite and professional, about tinting the windows on my wife's Honda Pilot. He was knowledgeable and gave me a good price quote over the phone. I scheduled an appointment for the coming Monday and Todd was flexible to accommodate my early morning schedule. A convenient plus is that Todd will come to a place that you designate. He arrived promptly at our house at the appointment time, showed me the various tints and provided me with details that allowed me to make an informed decision on the best tint for my car. I left for work and my wife paid him after he completed the work. When I came over that evening to inspect the work, I was impressed with the overall quality. However, there was one little area on the window in the back seat, where the baby seat is located, where there was a two millimeter gap between the edge of the window and the tint. Given the dark tint we selected, this small gap created a noticeable bright line. I called Todd and asked him to come back and replace this small section of tinting. He explained that due to the nature of some cars' window posts, getting the tint to lie flush against the window post was difficult and that this "gap" was within normal installation tolerances. I explained that the same section on the opposite window was done very well with no gap and that I didn't see a reason why a gap in other window section should be acceptable. So, I asked that Todd come back to see the gap and replace this small section of tint. Even though he seemed reluctant to do this re-work, he agreed to come by and replace the tint when he was back in our area. About a week or so later, he came back and replaced this small section to our satisfaction. Based on the fact that Todd came back and replaced this section combined with the overall quality of his work and fair price, I would recommend Genesis Tinting to others.

Todd was able to come out the day after I called to give me an estimate. He was polite, friendly and professional. He showed me different samples and talked of the options available. I received two reasonable quotes from other companies, one only 46 cents higher. Since the decision was going to come down to aesthetics, I asked Todd if he could come out again to show me his product against the other manufacturers. I talked to him on Friday afternoon and he was able to come out the following Monday. I liked the Johnson product and he helped me figure out what would be best for the different windows. We scheduled for two weeks in the future when I would have some time off. Todd arrived on time, set up quickly and got all those windows done in approximately four hours. He was very neat and tidy and cleaned up everything. He also put my window blinds back up for me. I'm very happy with the work he did for us. In fact, I'm sure I'll have him back before summer is over to do my east facing windows.

Todd did an amazing job. I cannot say enough about the quality of the work. I was ready to use another company when I was mentioned it to a co-worked he immediately recommended Todd. I'm sure glad he did. The only thing that may make it difficult for some folks is the fact that Todd is mobile only. He did my installation in the garage of my home. While he told me he can do installations at his own home, some people might find that inconvenient. Overall, an excellent job. I would recommend him to anyone without reservation.
