We research for the right company for approximately 2 years but we never felt comfortable to move forward with anyone except Rafael. Him and his crews professionalism is amazing! When we met him we knew he was the right person. He measured everything inch by inch and made specific recommendations to solve our water issues. We just finished our project today, what they done was a big accomplishment for our sloppy yard, we resolved all our water issues and made it our own! Thank you so much for everything Raf!

These folks worked with me to get my home project done and at the budget that I could afford. They were very informative, and took care of my property. The project had some challenging pieces, including extensive drip irrigation, hardscaping, and carpentry. I really like how the project turned out.

We recently finished a medium-sized landscape project with Rafael at Gala Services to remove our front lawn and install drought-tolerant plants, boulders, gravel, irrigation and lighting. We had previously called several other contractors that quoted us high prices with little backup information. A friend recommended Rafael at Gala Services and, after meeting him, we knew that he was exactly what we were looking for in a contractor - smart, nice and professional. Rafael is also an excellent communicator. He listened to our ideas, gave us feedback and worked those elements into the overall project plan. Within a couple of days, he provided us with a very reasonable quote that included a detailed breakdown of costs that helped us understand the amount of work and materials needed. He told us where we could save money by adjusting the sizes of fast-growing plants and smaller boulders to match our budget. His pricing was much more reasonable than contractors that gave us prices on the spot with little detail. Rafael is very knowledgeable on a large variety of plants regarding best exposure, watering needs and what they would look like in the future. He was very clear on what was included, when it would get done and the decisions we would need to make along the way. His crew was courteous, hard-working, fast and kept the jobsite clean. They even worked through rainy weather to get the job done. The project turned out beautifully. They removed the lawn, re-graded, repaired existing drain lines, installed a drip system, located and repaired existing sprinklers and wiring, added lights to walkways and trees, installed 90+ small plants, ground cover, a tree, a palm, boulders, weed cloth and mulch in less than two weeks. Working with Gala Services was a very positive experience from start to finish. We feel lucky to have found them and look forward to using them in our backyard!

They were on time, quick, and friendly. They did excellent work. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. Also a great value for such great work.

Rafael paid attention to all details involved with paver/concrete driveway job. His crew new exactly what I wanted. Hard working , prompt and friendly people. Would highly recommend them.

Had them replace a flagstones-set-in-gravel walkway with a solid concrete walkway, topped with the flagstones set in mortar. Also had them install 13 replacement low voltage lights along the walkway. The crew worked very professionally, were skilled in what they were doing, and showed up on time, as promised. Also, I had a very good interface with Raphael, the owner. I would use them again for other landscape/hardscape projects around the house! I'm very pleased with their work.

Rafa made me comfortable from the first meeting. He is so knowledgeable about the plants and trees, and gave me some wonderful ideas for filling in the empty spots. I'm not a 'visionary', and this was a daunting job for me to face alone. He and his crew trimmed and removed tall palm trees, and cleared the banks around them. They checked and repaired the sprinkler system front and back, put in grass, a cement patio, repaired and replaced fencing and gates-the house had been badly neglected by renters, and the neighbors and I are all thrilled with the fantastic results!

Rafael and his crew did an outstanding job and were patient, understanding and helpful throughout the process. His professionalism and knowledge was apparent from the onset and the key reasons we chose him over the 5 others we met with. Our project was smaller than most, but Rafael made sure we got the attention and skilled craftsman we required to do it properly. The removal of a raised planting bed, 20ft extension of a stucco wall and Paspalum sod installation has made our small yard feel 2X the size. And it looks amazing.... did I mention that? Gala Services, Inc. Landscape Yard or Gardens The landscaping project was changing from lawn and shrubs to Xeriscape using an Arizona pallet. Rafael came out and walked the grounds with plans in hand as we shared ideas and questions. The next day Rafael had a bid ready. Rafaelâ s bid was close to the others, but the questions and answers we shared made Gala Services the best choice. When the work started, Oscar and Francisco were introduced to me. Francisco did the hardscape and he knows his business. The footing, rebar, and finish were right on. Oscar ran the landscaping and knows what has to be done, both in terms of plant placement and irrigation. Both Rafael and Oscar are very knowledgeable. They were responsive to any questions and/or concerns we had. This crew was very professional. They came to work on time, communicated their hours to us, and cleaned up at the end of the day, every day. I recommend Gala Services and I will hire them again if the need arises.

Rafael was always open to our ideas as well as suggesting his own, resulting in a backyard that is perfect. His workmen were professional and very hard working. We highly recommend Gala Services for any landscape projects.

Rafael was nice, thorough and delivered as promised. I have been recommending him to several people and chose him over 7 other bids I got. Fair price, quality work and outstanding customer service with quick response times. Once the project started it was continuously worked on until done. I have neighbors who have a day or 2 of work and then nobody shows up for a couple weeks as they tend to other projects. Not the case with Rafael and his team. Very happy!!!

Rafael is a true professional, has great customer service skills, knows his plants and has good design ideas. His team was always on time, cleaned up each day and also were professional and pleasant to deal with. We changed our mind on design a couple of times, Rafael was patient and had good suggestions and wanted to make sure we were going to be satisfied with the end result. Having seen the finished product and heard my experiences along the way, my neighbor has already requested Rafael s name and number for work on their yard.

Rafael was very prompt in responding for my request, and provided an itemized estimate for my project. He was very pleasant and professional. Rafael and his team installed sod and lighting on my property. Rafael was extremely pleasant to deal with. He listened and spent time with me going over the project. His pricing is fair and competitive. His team is very friendly and professional.

I paid a premium price for the gopher mesh and new sod installation. Had gophers twice try to test edges of mesh and new sod. It would have been better to put mesh under cement decorative border for lawn which would have eliminated this issue. But two applications of gopher pellets and problem now resolved. Lawn before was pocked marked with many gopher holes and dead grass that gardener could not handle. It looked terrible,more dirt than lawn. After more than five years attempting to handle on my own with my gardener, I decided to finally have a professional take care of it. I researched many professionals. I chose a different company first, based on cost, but the deal fell through when they would not guarantee to perform work to industry best practices. I thus decided that if I was going to do this project I might as well do it right, even if it cost more which Gala certainly did. Gala advertises that it uses best practices. It personally agreed to perform the project using best practices and memorialized same in our contract. So I decided to go with them. I am very glad I paid the extra amount, about $1,000 more, because I definitely received the services I paid for. Gala came in and smoothed the ground, hauled away old dirt and placed new dirt before placing the gopher mesh and laying down the new sod in Feb-Mar 2020. It's now May 2020 and I again have the lawn I desire, especially since it is used more now due to Covid-19. Good investment re property value. Finally, Raphael was very responsive and even personally came to home in Horizon Hills/Mt Helix area twice for follow-up evaluation despite lock down. He arrived with mask and we maintained social distancing. He is reliable and highly trustworthy. I strongly recommend him and his company.

Rafael's team did a phenomenal job from start to finish. We hired Rafael to completely redo our backyard, which involved demolition of existing structures and walkways, prepping the various areas, leveling, installing sod and irrigation, installing pavers, wood mulch, rubber mulch and a wood pergola. each step of the way Rafael communicated very clearly his crew's status, what was coming next, answering any questions we had, and addressing anything that we felt was needed. he didn't try to upsell us, but rather tried to make the project more affordable by trimming costs in appropriate areas. we interviewed 7 or 8 contractors, and hands down after meeting him and receiving his bid, we knew he'd have our business in the end. Rafael shows a great amount of professionalism, a keen eye for landscaping design and aesthetic, and dedication to his customers' satisfaction. my wife and I can wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone pursuing a backyard project.
