Cabinets By Charron

Could not be more pleased. Dale the owner, personally designed the cabinet. My ask of him was to build the cabinet larger than the niche so that It would hold a 60" TV. It came out beautiful !!!! After he designs, builds and installs the cabinet he has a professional varnisher come out to finish the job. This is the 2nd time I have used Dales company, I had him build a cabinet for me 18 years ago in another home that I owned. Thank you Dale!!!

We were very pleased with the extent that Dale worked with us on the design and because of his very detail-oriented process, everything fit exactly as we needed it. He was very involved in all aspects of the job and hands-on in everyway. If there was anything that we needed, he was there immediately and we would highly recommend using him on our next project. Dale also did a Master Bathroom custom designed cabinet for us last year that is also excellent.

It was rather a difficult work to match the part of kitchen cabinets to the existing upper unit.
They performed well and delivered the quality works on time.  Very trustworthy!

Dale took my basic floor plan and elevations I had created with a designer and turned it into as KITCHEN.  He is an engineer by education and it shows.   I was not an easy client.  Modest budget, and lots of desire to micromanage everything and ask tons of questions.  Anyway, I was always asking why something was designed this or that way and he patiently explained on multiple occasions why something was not standard, might not work well, or was a good idea and he would try to make it work.  We did a lot of emailing back and forth, I was lucky he did not charge by the message.  In cabinetry 1/16th of inches can make a difference and Dale knows this and has a terrific standard of quality in his shop and his cabinets.  I got all the things I wanted in a very small kitchen and I owe it to Dale.  I made a large change order midstream to create a banquette rather than peninsula counter seating, and Dale figured out a way to make it work without a huge charge or slowdown in delivery.   
I asked for specific wood and door styles and when the size ratios on the door stile and rails needed to be adjusted for a more pleasing appearance, Dale did the calculations, and built the drawer faces to compensate for shallow and deep drawers.  It looks great.  I presented several design challenges and Dale created a functional and pleasing solution.  He made sure doors had clearance, drawers functioned smoothly and the entire suite of cabinets were installed level, plumb and true and look like seamless furniture.
I gave an A rating for price especially because I felt he gave me a 30K kitchen for the price.  I know there are cheaper ways to go, ie particle board, RTA cabinets, IKEA, Chinese imports.  I got a CUSTOM clear coat matte cherry full overlay face frame shaker kitchen with blumotion glides, interior of real birch, plywood construction, installed Hafele accessories for a very reasonable price.  
I highly recommend Cabinets by Charron and owner Dale Hagerty for your next custom project.  Get the kitchen you always wanted, I did.

Several months ago I got a new television, so I decided to get a custom entertainment center.  I wanted to have it run the entire length of my wall.  Someone had mentioned the custom cabinetmakers at Cabinets by Charron.  After checking out their web site for myself, I called and made an appointment with Dale, the owner.  (Since I am down in San Diego most of the time and Cabinets by Charron is in Escondido, I called ahead to make sure I didn’t miss him when I went there.)  He listened to me and walked me through the possibilities of various designs.  It was almost overwhelming to know that they had even more options available than what they had on display – from the doors and wood to the hardware.   With so many choices, it was easy to tell that Cabinets by Charron could build custom cabinets of any style.  I chose a sleek, contemporary design to be custom built to the dimensions of my television wall.  It was a quick turnaround of a few weeks, and the space looks cleaner now that all of my A/V components are hidden in my custom entertainment center.
