After checking other community comments on next-door.com, I contacted Craig Henke of Advantage Appliance, Inc. He returned my call and set an apt. for the next day. He called when he was 30 minutes away and arrived as promised. We had a leak on the inside of our refrigerator which he quickly diagnosed and fixed with a $17.89 part. He then addressed a water overflow problem with our 1988 Maytag clothes washer. He determined that there was no mechanical issue right away, rather that an errant piece of clothing in the cycle had gotten caught on the rim of the tub and diverted water during a cycle. His professionalism was apparent not only in his extensive knowledge and experience but in the way he handles his business. And to make it even better, he is great guy and a fellow dog lover. I would recommend him to everyone who wants outstanding service with honest prices and an amiable person. Total bill: $95.82. A representative from another company had told me three months ago that I needed either $600 worth of repair or that I should buy a new machine. Enough said!

The whole experience was fantastic. My dad had just gotten out of the hospital and the washing machine broke the next day. I was in town to help my mom with my dad's recovery and did not have the expertise to fix a washing machine. I called and spoke with a very nice and friendly woman and she was able to schedule a service call for the same day. Craig showed up and he was friendly, professional and overall a great guy. He was very complimentary towards my mom's 30+ year old Maytag washer. He is clearly enthusiastic about his work and was quick to let me know what the problem was, what needed to be done, an estimate and the best part was that he had the part on hand in his truck. Amazing! I was convinced a part would have to be ordered and we would have to wait, but no! The total downtime of the washing machine from the time it started to leak water until the time he arrived and it was fixed was only about 4 hours! We could not have been happier, especially in such an inopportune time.

Craig Henke owns and operates a small company in Escondido, California. He has never found it necessary to advertise because word-of-mouth has been all he's needed.  I found him on Angie's list and called because of close proximity and high ratings.  
He was able to schedule an appointment the next day.  He arrived promptly and was very professional.  He knew immediately the problem with my washing machine and had all the parts necessary to repair it.  He did this and I asked him to take a look at
the ice machine on my refrigerator.  He did this, and again, immediately knew the problem, had the necessary parts, and repaired it.  I can't recall ever being so impressed with the service, the fair pricing, and professionalism of a service person.  The high ratings on Angie's List are well-deserved.

this was the 2nd time Craig serviced one of our major appliances, and each time went well.  a few years ago he fixed our GE gas range oven igniter.  this time he worked on our Kenmore washing machine. this time, he spent 1/2 hour, quickly diagnosed the problem and removed what was causing the backup of water in the rubber gasket.  as a bonus, he gave us a 10% Angies List discount.  we will definitely use Advantage Appliance again.

I made an appointment to fix our 15 year old washing machine. He showed up just as promised, immediately recognized the type of machine (he was very familiar with it), he quickly diagnosed the problem (bad drive clutch), gave us an estimate, had the part in his truck, replaced it, tested it and it all worked perfectly.  Easy payment by credit card on the spot.  Clean, professional, personable, extremely knowledgeable and helpful.  Everything you want in a great repairman!

He is very nice and thorough.  He cleaned up after himself.  He communicated well with us and explained why he had to repair it.  We were thinking about buying a new one because it was old.  He checked out the whole refrigerator and said it would be fine.  He was honest. We would recommend him and we will use him again.

Several months ago, Craig from Advantage Appliance came to my house to repair my refrigerator doors. He was knowledgeable and professional. He had to make two trips because I ordered the parts thru the internet and his charges were more than fair. Although unplanned, he replaced the springs in my dishwasher door and repaired my oven door which had never closed properly since we lived here. When my built-in microwave quit working this week, I called on him again. He promptly fixed the problem but when testing the unit, discovered there was another problem which had caused the first problem. He had to again remove the microwave from the wall and replaced the defective part. Excellent work at a fair price.

Everything went well. He arrived on time and provided good service at an affordable price.

I was expecting to have to spend several hundred dollars for parts replacement besides the labor costs. This is the best experiance I have had by any appliance repair person. That he was able to get is working for so little blew me away. Just finding someone that works on these old stoves and knows what they are doing is like finding a needle in a haystack----HE IS A GEM.

Craig was prompt, friendly, and very professional. Found the necessary part for my machine even though it had been discontinued, obtained it within a day and had my machine working the following day. He's the kind of person you enjoy doing business with, but you hope you do have to call.

I gave my mother info on this company as provided by Angie's List. I also looked up company on the BBB. My mother said they were very responsive, new immedialtely what the problem was, very courteous and friendly. Work was performed promptly. Thank you Advantage Appliance Inc.

Our refrigerator wall that separates the freezer from the refrigerator compartments on our side-by-side was extremely hot to the touch. I knew something was wrong so I called Advantage Appliance. Craig asked me to check a couple of things over the phone to trouble-shoot. He determined it was a faulty fan motor. He was out the next day promptly within the appointed time and found that a mouse had got caught in the fan and it seized up. He also checked the filter and showed me that it was ready to be changed. He had one on the truck so was able to change it for me right then and there. He is one of the most honest people I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Besides having him work on my home appliances, I have also hired him for my office and my rental properties. He is always professional, well dressed, clean and polite. He is also pleasant and provides service with a smile. He is a perfect example of CUSTOMER SERVICE. I found him very knowledgeable, too.
