It could not have gone better!! I’m so glad I found, and have been able to work with, Dina of Organizing Concepts and Designs, and her team member Delia! Dina consulted so patiently with me by phone to determine the best course of action for my circumstances, and then sent Delia to my rescue. I now have organized closets and kitchen and bookcases, a living room that I can enjoy because it’s no longer cluttered with stacks of papers and books and a whole range of disordered belongings. I’d let things go so far out of control I couldn’t see anything but a mountain; Delia didn’t bat an eye but dove in and guided me through it all. Dina began my education on the phone – I get now that organization is truly an art, and I no longer feel guilty that I couldn’t do it alone! – and then Delia worked with me and taught me and gave me creative solutions where I was stumped. I couldn’t be happier. I’m no longer a prisoner of my belongings. My place looks great and I can actually enjoy being in it again. I’ve sent countless boxes of donations and shredding out the door, and have learned things to help me maintain the order. From OC&D you can expect fast, efficient work and beautiful results. And the people are delightful. Delia and I did a lot of work, but we had plenty of fun doing it; I thoroughly enjoyed meeting both women. I must add that I can say all this from the clarity of having tried to get this kind of help once before, years ago, with results that left me thinking “never again.” That person was disrespectful, about 3 times as expensive, and was much more concerned with being a “decorator” than an “organizer,” which was not what I needed or wanted (books organized by color and size, ignoring subject matter altogether...???). I’m so glad I tried again, and that I found Dina! If you need this kind of help…my recommendation is that you look no further!!

What had seemed like an overwhelming task became easy after hiring Organizational Concepts and Designs. The professional who worked with me helped me lay out my stuff and decide what to keep and what to save. Then, while I watched, she organized closets and cupboards so like items were together, I could see what I had and find items quickly. The organization was so useful that I can maintain it easily. 17 boxes of household goods. 12 bags of clothes and a few miscellaneous items disappeared after we finished. It was a burden off my shoulders immediately. And working with someone was a pleasant experience!

We worked well together. With her help, I was able to get rid of a lot of old clothes and items i was no longer using any more. We organized my clothes that I kept, so now I can find what I want to wear. I had boxes of boxes that we got rid of and organized items of like items and made thing fit better. It felt great being free of those items. Second round we organized the second bedroom and closets that I store a lot of boxes of paper work for my business. Then worked in the living room uncluttering it and organizing my many collections. Everything went smoothly and I felt like I could breathe again. Thank you Dina and your team

Dina and her crew were extremely professional. They worked quickly and carefully packing and separating the donation items from the trash. Dina co-ordinated drop-offs of donations and hired the haulers for large items and trash. In a tense and challenging situation of closing up a well lived house, it was a relief to place this job in capable hands. I enjoyed working with Dina. Dina Newman and her team are amazing! They are timely, professional, and very strong. They helped us get rid of stuff we don't need and organize the stuff we did keep. Being a one-man-show as I build my business, my work area/office was so disorganized. I don’t work well in an environment that’s confusing yet I never found the time to fix things. Dina was amazingly responsive, professional and, well, organized! Two weeks later three hard working, punctual experienced organizers spent 8 full hours helping us sort, donate, toss and haul way moms things. She arranged for a wonderful charity to pick up a lot of donatable items as well as a hauling service to dump the tossaways and furniture. What a relief. Helped ease the.pain of a painfl situation. Now we are thinkng of having her organize our house!

Her team was extremely helpful in keeping me focused when identify items to be donated and those to be trashed. She took the steps to arrange for pick up of donated items and arranged for a truck to perform final disposal. Her assistance removed the stress from having to downsize and move out of state.

Dina's asst Delia was amazing. She helped pack, helped determine what would go to the rental properties, what we should be keeping, what would be donated and even left with a carload of donation boxes for dropoff. Had I known about this kind of service I would have engaged Dina months ago in anticipation of this migration. I will have her back for at least one maybe 2 more days before the final move.

We are downsizing from a 4000 sq ft place where we have been for almost 15 years and moving our things to a combination of our new smaller home out of town and 2 rental investment homes. Dina runs a terrific company and she provided me with Brian, who brilliantly solved every organizational problem in my kitchen, master bedroom, office and, most importantly all closets and drawers. A huge weight lifted off my shoulders as I saw everything coming together, almost effortlessly (on his part, not mine!). These people are worth their weight in gold and the expense is definitely fair. I hired them for 14 hours

Outstanding. Dina’s staff is incredible. They got my entire apartment organized with everything put away and set up. I had just had back surgery so I could do nothing and they made sure of this. They were there 10 hrs and when they left everything was perfect.

Dina Newman is a frickin' little stick of dynamite! She blasts up your space and gets rid of all the crap you don't need, then creates a perfectly prestige and organized space. We hired her and her team for a rather large project and she and the ladies that work for her literally, almost magically, had it done in two days. They unpacked a whole move, organized 5 bedrooms, 3 baths, and a giant kitchen. They literally turned a giant and endless mess of moving boxes, into a home. They labeled everything, they organized everything in a way that makes the most sense, things you wouldn't even think of, they think of. Working with them was not only a teaching experience, it was FUN! They were on time, pleasant, professional, systematic, and normal. Easy to be around, and honestly, I miss them all! I wish I could work with them daily. Thank you, Dina, Delia, Amanda, Susie, and Kim. We truly couldn't have done it without you, what an incredible team of women. I highly recommend OCD for any and all organizing, or unpacking jobs you have, big or small. So worth it. We will be seeing them again very soon!

If you’re having an “estate sale”, or simply want to organize your life better, you need to call Dina Newman at “Organizing Concepts & Designs”. They were recommended by a close friend and I can’t say enough good about them. Dina, a high energy, tell it like is, ex-New Yorker came to the house, and told us what was going to happen. First, she recommended a “virtual” sale (internet auction). Second, what doesn’t sell she donates to charity. Third, what charities don’t want she hauls to the dump. Dina uses her vast array of contacts to get things done quickly. For instance, she and I went through my mother’s jewelry box. She took several chains, which I thought worthless, to her “precious metal man”. They were 12k gold, and he paid me almost $150. The auction house that Dina uses came next. Within ten days the household goods had been photographed, uploaded to the internet, auctioned, and sold. Day eleven, Dina had a crew haul away the trash (the auction had gone so well there were no “donatable items” left). She even supervised the crew, making sure they loaded the truck to its max. This saved me the cost of a second truck. By the time she was done, the house was emptied, “broom clean”, and ready for the realtor. What would have cost me weeks of dirty work was done in eleven days, with no effort on my part (it was actually fun!). And with Dina managing she save me enough money that there was “a little left over”. P.S. If Dina recommends something, listen to her! I’m glad I did, because she knows what she’s talking about!

Dina was Fantastic!! She helped declutter and downsize for a cross country move. She helped me move my family of five from an estate in CA to a Manhattan apartment. She also helped prepare my oldest daughter to move in with the grandparents for senior year before the rest of the country moved cross country. "Dina and her crew cleaned out my family's home in Los Angeles after the recent deaths of both my mother and younger brother. I live two states away but had total confidence she would follow my request to send me the family pictures stored in a specific cupboard. Days later a huge box arrived, carefully packed. I never expected to have pictures of my grandparents' 1916 wedding, their original passports from 1914 and 1916, many precious pictures that told the family history pre-WW2 I never knew of and a long lost letter from 1982 that gave grandmother's family and address in Hiroshima, Japan. I just sent a letter to those family members and hope to restore a long-lost relationship with them.Her work showed care and judgment beyond all expectation."

Dina Newman at OC&D is amazing - far better than the several other organizers I've used from time to time. Everyone in our family has been working with her, and she's restored our home and work spaces to the neat and inviting places they used to be - and, most important, helped us to keep them that way. We like how she customizes everyone's space to how they work and what they need, and helps set up systems that work for each of us. We didn't realize how much stress we had from living with all that clutter, now that it's gone. Best of all, she's patient and funny, and we get so much done each time she comes. Just listen and be open to her suggestions - because she understands people's idiosyncracies, but knows what works best.
Description of Work: Went through our home and offices, going through accumulated papers, files, boxes, closets, and stacks of accumulated stuff. Weeded out stuff for recycling, discarding, donating and shredding. Helped with removing stuff to be recycled or discarded, and had someone come to our house periodically to deal on-site with all the stuff that needed to be shredded. Reviewed all our files, cleaned them out, streamlined them, and reorganized them.
