If I could would give negative zero stars if i would. This company is the WORST. This is our 2nd bad review. Once again the worst customer service, no one returns calls. We have a leak in the same place as the panels. I want to get it repaired as we did once before. 1st we were told ....Equisolar wants us to pay $295 by sending a personal check. Once received then they will schedule someone to come out. After 3 calls with out call backs. Finally got hold of someone. Now they want us to pay for a roofer, if they say it's due to the panels, I have to pay them $295 to schedule someone to come out. Unfortunately we are stuck with this company until our panels are paid off because we made the mistake of purchasing them. Had we rented them, we would have Equisolar remove their s***** equipment and shove it up their horrible customer service A$$ and go with a another company. ANY company is better than Equisolar.

We met with several Solar companies - however upon meeting Eric, we really liked him - he came across as Family. Talking with us, not at us. Very very informative and honest. He did not try to sell us a zillion panels, he told us we could always add more if we needed it - that was the easy part once it was all installed. This was true. We did not need any more panels than he sold us. Dealing with the office to setup and finish was the not so great part. I had to constantly follow up for a start date... over a month. The guys that came out for the installation were really good - efficient, courteous and clean. Cut to almost a year later to get it all turned on... WE signed end of November 2014... Installation Feb./March 2015... waiting on inspection.. Final hookup with LADWP November 2016!!!! AND - the extra little box to be able to run the APP on our phone to view solar usage, etc was NEVER INSTALLED TO THIS DAY. Issac told us it was mailed to the house.. but why?? It should have been installed the day they installed the solar. That is why we gave the low scores. The job is not finished. Does the solar work? Yes. In hindsight, Eric is the most AMAZING SALESMAN, he is NOT family.

Solar Forward took care of everything. I was informed throughout the process and they made my life quite easy!

Sales process and initial installation went fairly smoothly and quickly, but support and timeline to get the system turned on and actually working was poor. The solar panels were installed within about 2 months post-contract signing, but it took an additional 6 months to get this approved by LADWP, in part because the installation was not done correctly (ie, LADWP had to come back twice to approve the work based on the required corrections) and because the project manager was not actively following up on the status of the approval. In addition, the solar panel monitoring system was not installed properly, so I ended up spending up my own time looking up and reading the manuals online and figuring out how to do this myself (after 1 missed appointment and inappropriately long wait times to get another technician onsite). Finally, we also received a call from one of their subcontractors stating he hadn't received payment and threatening to put our house on lien. Equisolar followed up with the sub and said that this was just a miscommunication, but this dispute definitely set off red flags for us. If possible, I would recommend not letting Equisolar get their final payment until after the solar panels have been approved, turned on, and monitored, as they customer support after they received their last payment has been suboptimal at best.

I reached out to several solar panel installers and found that the quality and pricing of Equisolar was among the better ones. Their panels (though not the best in the market) are fairly priced.  Whereas some companies give an initially high quote and ask to get a last look so they can match, Eric's quotes for installing the panels were very competitive from the start. The company was responsive to my questions and took care of my concerns. My contact person with the company, Sarah Khan, was very knowledgeable and responsive throughout the process. They took a couple of days to install the panels and connect me to the grid. They worked fast and efficiently and left their work area clean. 
One thing I would point out is that in the quoting process, they mentioned that they would have someone check the panels twice a year, and it has been almost a year since installing them and no one has visited. It's not a big deal for now as the panels are working great. 
Overall, I would recommend this company to others as they are helpful and fair.

Eric was incredible.  He was a pleasure to work with and he made sure everything was done right.  When he realized he had mis-calculated how many panels we needed, he took full responsibility and gave us the remaining panels at cost and they installed everything free.  I was blown away at his level of integrity and his dedication to customer satisfaction.  I would highly recommend Equisolar!

The job from start to finish was excellent. After speaking with another solar company in the Home Depot parking lot, I did some research and the one thing I knew was that I wanted to purchase a system. We had a few solar companies come to our house and give us the solar talk but came away really impressed with Equisolar. They were professional, knowledgeable, and very patient answering all of our questions. The financing options were great as well.
When it was all said and done, the job took about 2 1/2 months to complete from the signing to turning on our panels. We didn't have to worry about anything. We were called frequently with updates. We were very informed during the process and that was a relief. This definitely was a big purchase for us, so  to know that we were being taken care of felt great. Our system is running perfectly. Our house looks amazing with the system on the roof, a definite conversation starter. Best of all, we are saving money on our electric bill just as we were promised in the initial meeting. Overall this has been a terrific experience.

My husband and I bought our first home in 2012 and have been looking into solar for about 6 months. Our friends were also looking into it and ended up going through Equisolar. So we waited to see the results of how it looked and how they treated them throughout the process. They ended up being so happy so we decided to give them a call. One of the representatives came out to meet with us the very next day! From the beginning, Sara treated us with respect and was always ready to answer my many questions. She made sure we were financed and were on a timely schedule. At this point, the panels are installed and just started using the system, we are excited to see how much we are going to save!

  
They paid us our Edison rebate. They refunded money for cutting down our trees and we are taking a close look at the future bills. They have been very good to us. Just misunderstanding with our phone tag.

I was completely impressed and satisfied with this company from beginning to end.  When I first got the call from the telemarketer, I just figured it was just another company trying to sell me solar but this person was very respectful, humble and listened to my concerns.  He answered my questions and really educated me on how switching to solar was a great way to become energy independent.  He scheduled me a free consultation with a technician who came to my home and really educated my wife and I about the benefits of solar energy and he answered all our questions. The technician was considerate, not pushy, and most importantly honest about everything he told us, especially about how this system would save us money.  I am so pleased with solar now that I can't ever see myself switching back to the electric company. This is something I definitely recommend to my friends and family whenever I'm in touch with them and for good reason.  Equisolar cares about their customers.  A big two thumbs up from me!

I was contacted by their telemarketing department. The individual that I spoke to was very informative and factual. What I mean by that is this telemarketer went above and beyond to answer all my questions regarding the rate increases, being energy independant, no money out of pocket program, possibly having my solar payment lower then what I am currently paying for my electricity bill etc. I was very pleased with our conversation. I thought it was just going to be "Just Another Telemarketing Call" for solar but instead turned out to be a very educational call and opened my eyes to being energy independent. I really didn't know all of the facts prior to this call. I had a solar evaluation a year or two ago and it was nothing compared to the experience I had with Equisolar. The other company, which I am not going to mention their name, rushed through the telemarketing call, rescheduled me 2 times, lied about the reasons why they had to reschedule, said they were sending the supervisor the 2nd time but instead I got a regular tech. The day of that appointment this tech just kept writing numbers down, said they were going to give me the best deal around, promised me many things verbally like the brand of panels were going to be American but when I seen the contract that tech wrote up it was some off brand made in China panels. Then I said I had to discuss it with my partner and he got an attitude and wouldn't leave my house or the contract he wrote up. He said just sign and don't worry about it everything he promised verbally he would cm change later and also said he could accept just my signature and would come.back for my partners signature later to "FINALIZE" the contract. I asked for him to leave a copy and he refused. At that point I was so funny one with this tech I just wanted him out of my home. Long story short that experience scared me a little bit so I was a really thinking all solar companies were a scam and a rip off. So as you can see right off the bat I loved the telemarketer their professionalism so I then set an appointment with the telemarketer. The telemarketer had mentioned they were listed on Angie's List and won an award for customer service so since I'm already a member of Angie's List I did some research. I found awesome reviews. I was then contacted by the confirmation department and was greeted by a wonderful gentleman that ended up explaining how the finance programs worked. He ended up explaining to me how the finance programs work. I gave him all my info. and received an awesome quote when the tech came out. When the tech came out to my home he was very personable and educated me on the purchase programs Equisolar had to offer. He even went out of his way to get me the best quote. They were able to beat the other companies offer by a substantial amount of money and gave me the American made panels I wanted. I also took a few hours to think about it after the tech left my home and me and my partner decided to move forward and signed the contract and here we are. VERY HAPPY ENERGY INDEPENDENT PEOPLE! !

It when great at first i got a call from there telemarketing team. My utility provide is PG&E. At first when they called me and found out that it was a telemarketer calling me i was skeptical about what they had to tell me. But I heard there telemarketer out and told me about solar and the benefits of solar. As well the that my rates are going up  to 30% for 3 years because of the pipeline that burst  that PG&E owned and now they have to pay 2.25 billion dollars to the government.  He did not try to sell me anything just wanted to give me a free consultation for solar power. Hearing what the telemarketer getting this free consultation did not sound that bad. After i talked to the telemarketer i got a call from the conformation department saying if the date i given them for the solar consultation will still okay for them to go i said it was okay. When the sales person he came not a minute late did he c even came 5 minutes before the scheduled appointment.  The price that sales person gave me i believed it was a steal because i had gotten quotes from other solar companies but never got one as good as i got from Equisolar. Even when i signed they gave me 3 days to cancel if i felt the price wan unjust or for what ever reason i wanted to cancel. later when i signed the project manager called introduced herself and told me what was going to happen next. Now when we were in the design face their site analysis person came the very next day to evaluate my home and the possibilities of where my solar panels will be located. Once he gave it to his designer the designer finish the design really quick that i was stunned on how fast i was done. The designer also send it to m email so i can see it before Equisolar takes it to the city. That took the most time just waiting for the permit to be issue by the city. The design that the designer did was good that equisolar did not get any correction on it they  got the permit the first time they submitted it. Once the permit was issued Sarah the project manager gave me a call letting me know that they got the permit and let me know the date of when the installer was going to stop by. The installer came in the morning and finished by the end of the day. The install went flawless just like the inspection that came afterwards. The rebate team did all the pto and paper work at the start of the project so by the time the inspection finished like a week later I got the Permission to Operate by the utility company. Even got thousands and of dollars back from the government because  if the programs that Equisolar. I would give this Company a 10/10. If i was your neighbor/friend/ or family member i would recommend it to you if you want  great service staying in the price range that you want with excellent service in all departments. Especially the project manager she kept me update every step of the way.  Thank you very Much Equisolar you go. 

The instal went wonderful and all their workers were very professional.  Equisolar promised the system was going to be installed in 3 weeks and it was.  They were very punctual and honest throughout the whole transaction
