CTX MORTGAGE CO

CTX was informative and professional on our first visit. Their office staff was a pleasure to work with. Unfortunately when we got closer to our loan being in place, we were unable to get answers to our questions. Questions like, "What will our interest rate be?", went unanswered. When we did get answers we were given a range of interest rates varying by more than 1/2 a point. Finally after numerous calls I was able to get CTX on the phone. I explained that I had gotten quotes from other companies and I wanted to see if CTX could match them. I would expect that anyone getting a loan for that amount would compare products. The representative was aggressive and difficult. He repeatedly raised his voice and still would not give me a solid interest rate. Luckily escrow fell through and we were able to use a different company. Months later we were sent a demanding letter regarding an appraisal payment that we had already paid. We sent this documentation and hope to avoid any future contact.
