This was the second time I used Budget Blinds of Santa Monica for window treatments in my Santa Monica apartment building.  Their rep Helane is great.  I used her for years when she worked at Three Day Blinds and followed her when she moved to Budget Blinds.  

After a quick e-mail exchange, Helane contacted my tenant directly and made an appointment with her to measure a sliding door we needed to cover with new vertical blinds.  It was a simple job, but she provided a good selection of options and the one that my tenant chose ended up costing around $400.00.  The blinds were prepared for installation in the time period promised and were installed impeccably.  My tenant is very happy with the result.

The earlier project I did with Budget Blinds involved a really nice roller shade.  I had done similar shades with Three Day Blinds that cost about 20% more.  The owner came and installed it himself and it looks fabulous and works really well.

I used to use Three Day Blinds all the time for my home and rentals, but I will be using Budget Blinds in the future.  Their pricing was excellent and Helane is a great resource for them as she is knowledgeable and very reliable.  Once Helane left Three Day Blinds I did not have a lot of luck in hearing back from them and I quickly realized that the real difference in service from one company to another depends on the reps and their level of concern and attention.  I think that Budget Blinds is a good alternative to the big national window covering chains.  Helane is great and the owner is very involved so you get personal attention and service.
