I couldn't be home, so I had my son (18 yrs old) let the carpet cleaners into my place. It was a simple enough job for the crew - one livingroom and one hallway - so I didn't think it was a big deal. Although their website indicates they'll move basic furniture to clean under it, I suppose you have to specifically ask them to do so. Ridiculous.
As for what they did do...six hours after they finished, my carpet is still wet VERY damp, and not a lot cleaner than it was when I left this morning. I could've done just as well with a hose and a ShopVac.
