PB's Greenthumb Landscaping

Peter and crew were great. This is my 3rd year using Peter for my mulching and cleanup. I have a large double lot with many beds and they do a great job cleaning them out and replenishing them with new mulch.  Peter has also put in a stone patio for me last year and put in some additional landscaping and did a great job.  Im very satisfied with my experience working with him and his crew and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for some landscaping.

price, but did not use the color guaranteed pavers from Felbers.  Nor did Lavacat include the wall and planters in the estimate.  So it was clear which company to go with.  PB'sGreenthumb was prompt, called me and kept in touch.  Modified the plan as it developed to my satisfaction.  They completed the job on schedule.  Peter interacted with his workers in a respectful way that told me he appreciated their talents as well.  He gave me a lot of his time discussing the landscaping in the front of the house.  He explained how to take care of the plants and what I could do to improve things.  When a problem came up with the construction of the stairs, he problem solved it to my satisfaction even though it meant re-building them.  We love the patio! The total effect on the property was worth the cost and I am so happy to have job completed! I told Peter to take pictures and to bring future clients to see it if that would be helpful.  Highly recommend this company.

his Father came out in May to do the job - i foolishly went to work, thinking the work would be done correctly - Within 2 weeks of the job I had moss and weeds and maple trees coming up between the bricks.  It looks a mess!! I phoned him and he said there was nothing he could do to fix it, but offered to reimburse me half of my money ($250.00)  That was over a month ago, I have phoned him , e-mailed him, and each time I get a lie about the money he was to pay me - Six weeks and no check!!

The project manager, Peter, was very nice and tried his best to be responsive, but in all honesty, I think he was over his head and did not have the experience necessary to do the job right. They brought in landscape stone for the mulch beds, but never rinsed any of the rock, not a good look. To this day, I am still power washing the dirt off it. When installing the rock, they crushed half my landscaping.

As far as the flagstone patio and retaining walls, I had to "watchdog" them the entire way. The patio design did not come out the according to the original design plan, so they had to redo, which may be the reason the quality of workmanship suffered because it was rushed, but that may be giving them the benefit of the doubt. So many things were wrong with the job, I'm not sure where to begin. 2 sprinkler lines were cut, with no responsibility taken to repair. Landscaping and lawn was severely damaged and little effort was taken to fully repair. most astounding was that saw cuts were left on the surfaces of 5 - 10% of all the flagstone on the patio. When I questioned, I was told that was how the product was shipped and it was "natural" markings of the flagstone. At this point, because of how many things went wrong and how long the project took, I just wanted them out of there. Now, almost 2 years later, after specifically telling them one of the most important things was to have the area properly back-filled and compacted so no settling would occur, the patio steps are shifting and sinking. This is very disappointing, after the reassurance when the job was being sold that this would not happen.

They came out about two weeks ago.  They did a good job overall.  They were very responsive.
