Dale showed up on time, closely examined the door, clearly explained what he found, and proposed a solution (remove the inner edge of the weather stripping). There was no charge for the visit. I tried his suggestion and the door is much improved! If we need more work on our doors or locks, we'll check first with Lee's.

Called and got a phone estimate, which sounded fine. The technician came the next day right on time and did a good job. It was a bit more than we had planned, but that was my own fault as I hadn't asked how much the new lockset would cost, which was about twice the cost as if we had bought it ourselves, but we were in a hurry. The tech did a good, thorough job, used quality parts, and was very professional. Even though it was more than planned, we were pleased with the work.

They were easy to get a hold of and responded in a timely manner. They went out to look at the job and gave me an estimate for parts and labor. They performed the work as agreed. My biggest complaint was their mark-up on the parts. I later found the same lock sets online and at a hardware store for 1/2 the price of what they charged me.

Extremely bad. A technician came to view the door and order the part. When the part arrived, another tech came to install it. He drilled a hole in the door and after trying to fit the component in the door, realized the part did not fit the door. Apparently the first tech who ordered the piece did not gage the door width accurately when he ordered the piece and this tech did not check it before drilling the hole. In his attempt to make it fit, he cut off a section of the screw, when that did not work, he placed a spacer (washer) between the eyepiece and the outside of the door. In the course of drilling a hole in the door, part of the door finish was broken off and the ragged, unfinished part of the inside eyepiece looked very unattractive, unprofessional and unfinished. A large burr created from his trimming the screw, obstructed the circular shape of the inside eyepiece. When I told him I was dissatisfied with the results, he lost his temper, admitting he made a mistake by not checking before drilling the hole, and said I was the most complaining person he had done work for in his career. He pointed out the thing worked and that's what he was hired to do and repeated he thought me a complainer. Then he said he was done with the job, he had done the best he could do, that he would not charge me for the labor. I told him I would not have let him proceed in the first place if I had known the final result would look this bad and that I would call the owner and report my dissatisfaction with the results. He then called in to the office and reported he was not charging for the job, that I was nothing but a complainer and he was done. He did call afterward, leaving a voice mail and an apology for losing his temper, offering to return to try to fix it, but I do not like the quality of his work and his short fuse, and do not want anything to do with him or Lee's Lock & Safe.

John was polite on the phone, scheduled an appointment right away, and showed up on time. He was able to give advice concerning the locks and gave me several alternatives with estimates for each. He figured out the problem regarding the front door quickly. He was always courteous and made an effort to give me information about what he was doing and why. He was willing to answer any questions I had. The whole experience was very positive.

HE WAS A LITTLE IMPATIENT WITH ME WHEN I FIRST CALLED. APPARENTLY I DID NOT USE THE TECHNICALLY CORRECT TERMS TO DESCRIBE THE LOCKS I WANTED INSTALLED. ASIDE FROM THAT, THE JOB WAS WELL DONE AT THE RIGHT PRICE AND HE TURNED UP WHEN HE SAID HE WOULD. I WOULD USE HIM AGAIN.

Very fast and prompt. We didn't realize that we had so many locks and had told them 8 instead of 17. They actually sent an extra person mid-way through so they could get the job done quickly.
