My daughter is a high school senior who is preparing her college audition tape for music school. We have a very nice piano that went out of tune may be due to the hot and humid weather. She need the piano tuned right away in order to record her audition pieces to meet the deadline. Deborah came in no time to get our piano tuned and fixed a few other issues with our piano which made my daughter piano playing so much more enjoyable. When we notice some unusual noise from our piano we called Deborah again and she came the same day to help us solved that misterious problem at no extra charge. She is very knowledgable and honest. This is the second time we used her service and I will tell you she is the one we will use for the future. My daughter has been playing piano for ten years and we have used quite a few piano runners. We are so happy with Deborah's service and are so grateful for our piano teacher who recommended her to us. I would say she is the best piano tuner we have ever used. I wish we had her earlier. We have learned a lot from her and was very impressed by her promt response and professional service. She does the right thing and will not compromise anything for her convenience. Her fees are very reasonable considering the quality and reliable service we received . I highly recommend her to any one who is looking for a good piano tuner who really know what she is doing . You can trust her for the best service.

She actually arrived early which was even better since she need the time to work on this beast. She thoroughly cleaned it and then spent the next 3 hours tuning it and actually turned it into a musical instrument again. For the work she put into it, the $185 fee was a bargain. My wife is very pleased and has been playing every day since.

.Debbie was great. She did a very nice job on my piano and was friendly and professional. My piano hadn't been tuned in over 10 years, so when I spoke with Debbie on the phone she told me it would first need a pitch raise and then a tuning about 3 months later. After finishing her work, she told me that it was in good enough shape that I probably wouldn't need the tuning for 7 months or so. How refreshing to have a provider not recommend additional services at the earliest possible time! She even offered to give me a reminder call down the road. Debbie did very nice work and was a pleasure to deal with.

I have an old piano that my son's Godmother gave him some time ago. I didn't really know what to do with it. We it moved it twice before we finally got it tuned. I didn't know what to expect. Debbie gave me an estimate on the phone but I wasn't sure what condition the piano was truly in. Debbie arrived with a smile on her face and I instantly liked her. She happily greeted the family members that were there and then got to work. She worked carefully for hours. During this time she received occasional visits (read: interruptions) from my son and niece and received them with a smile and kind words. During her time evaluating the piano she identified a problem with the pin block. Before her visit I didn't even know what that was. Anyhow, she offered a fix that should last a few years which is perfect as my son is only 5 years old and we have yet to see what role this piano will play in our family's life. The piano is now working nicely and the kids are having great fun. She will be back to re-tune it and perform the fix in a couple of months. I am keeping a couple of her business cards along with the music books in the piano bench. I am a newbie and was a bit nervous about the whole thing but I am thrilled with her work, her explanations, and recommend her highly. By the way....her telephone estimate was spot on.

It had been about 6 years since my last tuning and two moves of the piano so it was quite out of tune. Debbie had given me a quote on the phone based on this fact as to how long she thought it would take to tune it as well as the cost. She arrived on time and immediately got to work. She communicated the process to me throughout the tuning and the cost ended up being the exact amount quoted. She also gave me tips on how to maintain the piano moving forward. Very easy transaction. Will definitely use her again.

iWe purchased a used piano that had not been cared for in many years. A mouse had actually been living in the piano. The mouse ran away and Ms. La Roi came to clean and tune that piano. She was knowledgeable, professional, and passionate about her work. We were the beneficiaries of her care, because now our piano sounds great.

She arrived at about the time she said she would, and spent a solid 2.5 hours working on the piano. She cleaned the soundboard, vacuumed and dusted. And then set about using her equipment to tune the notes. After she left, I noticed a faint vibrating sound when I played a few of the keys. So I called her and she returned the following day and spent over an hour using a combination of special tools to fix the problem. She was patient and thorough and professional. She went beyond the call of duty, bringing a special device to lift the piano and straighten out the wheels because the movers hadn't done so. Plus she was able to give her insight on how much the piano was worth. We'll definitely be using her services again.

I purchased a piano from greene music, being a novice, I knew slim to nothing about pianos, but did genuinely like the touch and feel of my Essex U-123. I paid in full and it was delivered up one flight of stairs. I was happy with the touch, but noticed that my piano was ridiculously out of tune, had a squeaky pedal, and would squeak in the C3 when I would rock back and forth and octave. Greene music provided me with a free tuning. Guy gave me a two week window and showed up for twenty minutes. Tuned the piano, blasted the pedal with lube and left. Two weeks later I had an out of tune piano (Not that bad), a squeaky pedal, and a squeaky C3. Im not one to demand better work from someone who wont do it he first time, so I moved on and called Deb. She showed up 5 hours later and spent a long time with my piano. When she was done, I had a piano that was tuned so well even my tone deaf wife noticed, no squeak in the pedal (That was properly lubricated) and no squeak. The touch is much more uniform after the easing of the keys. Great job, not stuck up, no nonsense, worked from the time she was at the door to the time she left.

Deborah came on the day promised at the correct time. She examined my piano before she tuned it. She had warned me that the cost could be more since I had had a tuning in 6 years. She also examined the piano to make sure it would hold the tuning. The piano could be tuned for the price she initially quoted since I did not have any additional problems. She was great. Deborah really knows piano's. It was clear that she has been doing this for year and knew what to look for. I had a tuner once fumble with the piano for hours and it did not hold the tune later. I have an old acrosonic by baldwin- so it is a bit difficult. She tuned easily- it took several hours but what a great result. we signed up for annual tuning now.

I called with a last minute request: can you come tomorrow and tune my old piano?Debby was there right on time at 9:30 the next day. I was delighted with the entire experience.Even though she has been tuning pianos since the days of tuning forks, she has an electronic gadget that she uses to do a very precise job of tuning - way better than the human ear can tell.She vacuumed out the dusty inside of the piano, and it looks and sounds like new!

We called Deborah a few days after the piano arrived from its 1700 mile trip to our house. It had not been played or tuned in over 30 years. She suggested that we wait for about a week before she tried to tune it because it needed to adjust to the climate here. The day she arrived, she worked for about 4 hours, fixing the hammer that was out of place and fixing the pitch. She charged us the same fee that she quoted on the phone although she spent about an extra hour working on the hammer. It was a tough job as I could tell. When it proved to be very difficult, she said that she could fix it another way, but there was a higher likelihood that working on it that way would cause additional problems. So, she kept plodding away until the hammer was back in place. She explained to us a lot about the piano, the differences between this older piano and the newer ones, and took out a humidity reduction device attached inside the piano that is not needed in a dry climate. She told us that using that device would damage the piano in this climate. She explained to us how to clean the keys, and to play every key at least once a week to keep the piano in tune. She said she had fixed the pitch, but that it would not stay in pitch permanently yet. Then she recommended that she return in about a week to fix the pitch and try again to tune it. On her second visit she was able to tune the piano, and recommended we have the piano tuned again in about 8 months.

Deb arrived exactly on time. Exceptionally professional, while friendly and gracious. Got right to work with certainty. Educated me on many aspects of this older parlour grand piano which were news to me, including value, repairs likely to be needed soon but not immediately, the internal workings, etc. Deb cleaned it thoroughly inside (and recommended that the kids wash their hands before using it lol), and tuned it over a period of about 3 hours. WOW had no idea it could sound like that! We are still marveling at the sound produced now! Definitely highly recommend Deborah La Roi, expert piano tuner.

Debby recommended a very thorough tuning that she called something like a "pitch shift" (please excuse me if I don't have the name of the procedure exactly right). Debby said this was necessary because the piano had not been tuned in so long, and was recently moved from Kentucky. The procedure took about three hours, so the price of $185 seemed very reasonable. Before she started work, Debby assessed the general condition of the piano and gave an opinion on whether it was tunable and worth the $185 dollars it would cost to tune it! I really appreciated that, since I know very little about pianos. She then tuned the piano, told me a lot about its history, gave me a value estimate and told me a little about how to care for the instrument. I was very pleased with her work.
