Andy and his crew are very hard working and professional. They did a great job and even came back to check that the railing had been installed properly. They went above and beyond, and carefully explained the work that was being done. Highly recommend Brown Roofing!

I had requested that he come back and look at a patio cover he had done which had a 5 year warranty on the actual work. I had skylights in the patio and water would come through the skylights when it rained. He supposedly caulked around there and said he would fix it but it is still a problem. He said he would wait until more rains come so that he could see how it is going to work out and where the leak is coming from; but we never heard anything from him again. Overall he was timely and had decent pricing.

He was really, really thorough. Very, very careful work. He went out of the way to match the paint. He cleaned up beautifully. It was a really great experience for having to spend that much money. They made it as painless as possible.

Based on their reputation, we contracted with Brown Roofing, as the roofer of our choice when we recently had a 20 panel solar electric system installed on our roof. Jim Brown had some forward thinking ideas about how the job should take place, and we agreed. Jim, Andy and Steve Brown arrived as requested, removed the tiles on a large section of our 25 year old roof, and opened up the roof and relocated one vent pipe, which was necessary to allow the 20 solar panels to be installed as a group by our solar contractor (Sullivan Solar). Working with Sullivan, they laid the "tar paper" and other waterproofing material on the roof, then let Sullivan install their posts for the solar array. Once Sullivan was done, they went back and installed a heavy duty rolled roof overe the entire section (including around each post) to make sure that we roof under the solar array would never leak. They were patient and worked in coordination with Sullivan in all of their efforts, which involved coming and going over 3-4 days.

Jim, Andy, and their crew arrived the day they said they would. I gave Jim a check for half of the amount of the roofing, even though I offered to pay the entire amount then. He said he wanted to wait until the job was done. The crew was friendly; played with our Golden Retriever, and then got to work. I was told it would probably take 4 1/2 days and it did. They did everything that is mentioned above, including cleaning up each day. It is interesting to note that it has rained twice since the roof was put on and there is no leak anywhere. Because this is a flat roof - over an added room - we were uncertain about the leakage. Not only is everything dry, it is much quieter when we walk on the roof. (With the previous roof it always sounded like a herd of elephants were dancing on the roof - which is our access to the attic.)
