I'm in the middle of a renovation and have been working with many different vendors in the construction and home repair business.  It's never been crazier in the bay area and delays and missed commitments are the norm.  My experience with Simmons Glass stands out as the shining exception.  Other glass companies said they couldn't get out to give me an estimate for at least a month and the lead time on getting the glass would be long.  Simmons showed up within a few days to provide an estimate and the whole job was completed within 2 weeks.  The work was done carefully and well.  I couldn't be happier!

Business was very responsive - was there to provide an estimate within a couple hours of my first call, then back the next day to do the job. Work was of a very good quality, service was friendly and responsible. The estimate was very reasonable and they stuck to it, charging me exactly what was quoted.
I would not hesitate giving this company my repeat business should the need arise in the future. Highly recommended!

I highly recommend Simmons Glass for window replacement. I broke the bottom pane of a tall window in a third story condo on a Friday morning. I called Simmons Glass and Skip Simmons came over that morning to assess the situation and determine the kind of glass that was needed. He scheduled the replacement first thing on Monday. The replacement required access from the outside in a narrow passageway between two buildings and was hampered by bamboo branches from a neighbor's yard. Yet the replacement went quickly and was completed in a professional and efficient manner. I would definitely call Simmons Glass again if I need a glass expert.

Mr. Skip Simmons did a reasonable estimate. His crew of 2 removed the old window and installed the new window under very difficult work conditions. Everything was perfect. I will definitely hired them again.

Provided prompt, professional service with quality work. One of the replacements was the door of a half bath. The original replacement did not provide enough privacy and Simmons replaced the glass promptly without additional charge.

It was great. They were really nice, they did the job quickly and it was clean.

I called on a Wednesday and received an estimate over the phone on replacing the broken glass in three 10 x 12 windows and one 32 x 15. I scheduled them to complete the job on the following Monday. Instead of arriving at 8:30 am, they called at 8:33 saying workmen were on their way. John and Hector were personable, introduced themselves, checked out the job and got right to work. Whatever mess they made, they cleaned up. The windows fit, were installed properly and glazed neatly. It obvious that these two know their craft and are careful about the details. I may want to replace four windows in the future. Simmon's will be the first call I make for an estimate.

I needed a custom cut mirror to install behind a small nook in our hallway. This is a small job, but Skip, the owner at Simmons, took the time to work with me and cut the mirror while I waited. He has many big commercial contracts, but took the time out of his busy schedule to help me with this small project. Then I went back and ordered two pieces of glass to put on top of tables. Skip is amazingly friendly and prompt and really knows his stuff. He keeps his cell phone with him so that he always answers, even when out on a job. Skip personifies the kind of service and customer first attitude that is so hard to come by lately. I love Skip and Simmons and will always go to him with any sort of glass project from now on!

Their price was great! They were 30% lower than others. They were very friendly and professional. They are local. They cleaned up well.

Scheduling was the main problem. Had to call multiple times to reschedule time of delivery of windows because they were not delivered when promised. Workmanship on the construction of the windows was good and installation went well and on time.
