It was about a 40 min drive in commuter traffic for me. They are located in Emeryville (rather near the Ikea store). Easy access from freeway, but not  a clearly marked office building.  I didn't realize they had  private parking at the back of the building, and parked blocks away and walked to the office (wish I had asked about parking when I called them!). Service was fast, courteous and with easy-to-complete forms. They don't take checks (do accept charge cards). I'm highly satisfied..
 
I'm very glad I did the testing. Bought a 1967 house with popcorn ceilings (pretty much guaranteed to have asbestos) and sheet flooring/floor tiles known to likely have asbestos - common for that period. Back of sheet flooring turned out to be 40% asbestos (wow!) and ceiling was 4%. I'll be having professional removal prior to remodel and move-in. The original owner (1-owner house) lined all the cabinet shelves with the sheet flooring - and the back is deteriorating on those pieces. The bathroom flooring was all crumbled on the back - meaning a bad bet for the DIY'er.  Acquaintances felt there would be nothing there to worry about. I'm not paranoid, but I do have more training than the average person on the risks. I had no desire to put myself or future owners at even a small risk of mesothelioma. Plus the popcorn ceiling is incredibly dirty and ugly after all these years.
