Lazar Landscape has been in business for over 30 years. We offer full-service custom residential landscape design and construction. We employ over 40 people, including designers, builders and maintenance gardeners. We only use subcontractors for plumbing, electric and finished carpentry. We can also provide bids for existing designs. We accept payment by check and paypal.

for a large backyard remodel and they botched most elements of the job.
We started to get a deluge of water in our yard after they installed an
irrigation system (creating a swampland on our lawn and streaming down
the retaining walls). They refused to troubleshoot the problem
thoroughly. We were forced to hire someone else to dig up the irrigation
system in order to investigate. We found gross negligence in the way
the system was installed. There were uncapped tubes a foot underground
pouring water into the soil. When the lawn was dug up to fix the
irrigation, it was discovered that the sod was laid directly on top of
hard clay (they just threw down some top soil) and rocks so it would
never have seeded. In the contract, Lazar states they would roto-till
the soil to a depth of 6" and use soil amendment under the sod but those
things were not done. The stucco on the retaining walls throughout the
yard is cracking, peeling and is discolored in most areas, just one
month after the project ended. They planted plants that were not right
for the climate and position in the yard, half of the plants died in the
first week. After digging deeper into the materials used, we found that
although we requested high quality materials and stressed this
throughout the project, they used bottom of the barrel wood for the
fencing. The project also ran over by one month. They did pay for the
botched irrigation but refused to fix or pay for the lawn and stucco
issues caused by both water damage and general ineptitude. We now have
to pay more money to fix these issues. This company should not be in
business.
