ATP Plumbing - Ask the Professional Plumbing

POOR WORKMANSHIP AND GREAT SALESMANSHIP We hired ATP plumbing to do our entire house a job that at the time was estimated to be $15,000. Mr.Peterson offered hourly for high-quality workmanship we ended up spending nearly $50,000 last week I called him that my ceiling is coming down and we need him to come and help to figure out what to do? 1) First he told me he doesn't RECOGNIZE me 2) Later on he remembered but told us HE HAS NO TIME FOR US 3) Last he BLOCKED MY PHONE NUMBER as he didn't want anything to do with the problem We showed the picture to other experts and we were told PLUMBER took a shortcut on proper welding the pipe

Tom Petersen is super shady. He told me several lies over the course of interacting with him, the untruth of which I did not discover until too late, including that I had low water pressure to my shower because of galvanized pipe (but the pipe was copper), and that he wasn't required to pull a permit since he was doing an "emergency water heater replacement" on a Saturday (code requires a permit be pulled on the very next business day for water heaters replaced during a weekend, I have since learned). He was super sketchy about providing me a sales receipt for the tankless water heater he installed, probably because he didn't want me to see how little he paid for it since I feel he overcharged me for his shady work. He has yet to provide proof that he is certified to install the brand of water heater installed, and if he is not certified, then the warranty is void. He left debris (metal shavings, trash, pieces of wood) everywhere he worked at my house over 2 different days, including screws in the driveway. He never showed up before 11 am and hurried at the end of the day "because it was dark." Well, try starting the day earlier next time. And he left my house without hot water at our only bathtub/shower for 5 days. And did I mention that he overcharged me for all of this? And every time I voiced my concern about something he had a long list of reasons why it was not his fault.
Caulk he applied in the bathroom fell out in less than 24 hours. It still takes 5 minutes for hot water to reach the sink in my bathroom. It takes almost 2 minutes for hot water to reach the kitchen and laundry sink, even though they are located next to the water heater.  2 weeks after he installed the water heater I noticed it was leaking. It was probably leaking since he installed it, but it is installed on an exterior wall on a side of the house I never go to, so did not notice it until I went to get the serial number off of it to register it.  Since he installed it without a permit, I'm sure he did a lot of stuff that is not up to code. I am going to have to hire another plumbing company to examine what he is done and get the permit for me because this man thinks I should pay him to get the permit he told me was not necessary. I am not giving this liar another penny. I am reporting him to the contractors licensing board. He is the reason I joined Angie's List.
