Top Rail Fence

I contacted this company back on 7-6-2020, in the meantime I have received no response (Zero communication or follow through), In a months time, Terrible terrible terrible!! This is largely what is wrong with most American businesses, no sense of customer service, this makes potential customers frustrated and furious. Unbelievable,,,

Top Rail did an excellent job incorporating the new fence and gate into our design plan for the gate. Both sections of the fence were well constructed. They were also very careful around our landscaping and Christmas decorations, careful not to damage anything.

The turnaround time from quote to finished product was about one month, which is great considering the weather and holidays this time of year. The fence was removed in stages to keep our yards secure overnight. All the men working on the project were courteous and professional over the two days. They did everything we asked for, including a little extra leveling and an extra board to close the gap between the fence and an existing metal gate. The quality of materials and craftsmanship have left us with a beautiful fence and sturdy gates for years to come.

This company is is “tops”. Quality of work is excellent and they are very professional.

I did not hire TRF through Angie's List. I ran into the crew having lunch at a local pizza parlor one day, and they were SO personable, outgoing, friendly and professional that I asked for their card. Now that they've done work for me, and I saw them as A rated on Angie's List I can see why, and it makes me very happy to recommend them. When I called Jeff for an estimate, he sent Tim out right away but Tim indicated that it might be as much as 90 days before they could do the job. I appreciated their honesty in telling me that up front, and was willing to wait!! However, they got to my job in 30 days!! Wahooo!!! David, John and Marcus took out my old rotted fence in one day, carted it off, put in the new posts, and came back early the next day to add the rails and finish the job. Just as they were when I first met them, the guys were courteous, and they cleaned everything up before they left. I have a GREAT, safe, pretty fence now!! Love the TRF guys!! Highly, highly recommended!!!

In looking at the pictures on the website all the fences were done in open yards. If you have a flower garden were you want your fencing replaced or watering system they are not the fencing company for the job. My drip system was cut and flowers trampled. The workers dug out dirt and threw it all over my yard to put in the fence. Granted this fence is wider than the existing fence. They put all the additional inches on my property vs. splitting the width on both properties. My neighbor and I went in half with a good neighbor fence. All the extra dirt went all over my yard none in my neighbors, since it was an open yard without much flower gardens. The dirt was even thrown on top of the water sprinklers breaking them. See the before and after pics of my garden. A water nozzle also got broken. They even placed the fence on top of the water drip system, see picture, causing more damage. In this instance they were very unprofessional. The owner would not even come out to see the damage done, but only talked to us on the phone. We had $250.00 worth of damage done and it took us a little over two weeks to fix the damage. Our plants will take an entire season to recover. I have cried for a week from the devastation. My garden historical is full of blooms and lush through the summer, but not this year!! When I am spending over a $1,000 for my share of the cost I expect better customer service and work.

They were prompt to respond and performed the work as promised. I'm going to hire them again, and my neighbors were impressed to the point as asking for their contact info.

Jeff provided me with an estimate for replacement of my good neighbor fence and my gate.  He also provided an estimate for the cost of replacing my neighbors gate.  Yesterday, the company arrived at my home on-time with a very good crew that you could tell worked together well.  Everyone had their tasks and went right to work.  My fence was a 1x6x6' redwood dog-ear fence on two 2x4 rails and postmaster metal posts.  They used 3x3 posts for the gates.  After completion (that same day), the fence is absolutely beautiful.  No posts are visible on either side.  They prepared the site and were able to remove some rotten tree stumps that affected the property line (on my neighbors side).  The finished product looks amazing.  They were friendly, professional and the work couldn't have been any better.  My new gate opens easily and I love the new latch that they installed.  I would highly recommend this company.  I am 100% satisfied with the outcome.

My call for quote was responded to VERY promptly.  Appointment for quote was scheduled VERY quickly.  Top Rail Fence owner came over on time, assessed the job, made professional recommendations, and gave a quote.  This was a redwood, dog-ear fence between the neighbor and.  We had a specific window of time for installation around our vacation, and that was no problem for Top Rail Fence.  The neighbor also had additional fence work to be done.  We received notice of date of install.  My husband was present while the work was accomplished and was very impressed with the coordination and organization of the workers. The end result is absolutely beautiful.  I will definitely contact Top Rail Fence for future work and recommend to everyone without hesitation.

Great work.  Showed up on time.  Polite and professional.  Work looks great.  Cleaned up the site after.  Couldn't have asked for anything else!

This was the second time I have used this company.  When we had high winds, 4 sections of fence fell over.  I had gotten a couple of estimates and Top Rail was very fair with price.  The work was done quickly, crew was polite and cleaned everything up afterwards.  I used them on a rental property last year as well to replace a chain link fence going around the front yard with a rolling gate across the driveway.  About 6 months later, I noticed the rolling gate was a bit hard to open.  They came right out and fixed it for free even though it looked like my tenant may have been the one who accidentally damaged it by bumping it with his car.  I appreciate how fair and honest this company is and will definitely use them for any fencing needs in the future.

the job went perfectly and on time. The men on the job we're professional in every aspect. The cleanup was amazing. My wife who is hard to please is very happy with new fence.

It went great.  A 3 man crew came out and in 3 hours the job was done and looks and works great!

He came on time and was polite and professional.  The estimate seemed very reasonable and was in line with another estimate I got.  Will use him when I'm ready to have the work done.

My section of the fence is 13 feet. Most of of the job was contracted by the neighbor. The concern I had was with my 13 feet. My issue was that they did not come across the same level as the back existing fence. I asked them to lower that section (13 feet of fence). Jim Grove,  was very cordial and polite. I didn't have a problem with him. Tim Larson came from around the front of the house to the area in question. He said very emphatically he will not redo what he had already done. He was unprofessional in communicating with me. He became extremely beligerent and adminetly refused to correct or discuss the good neighbor fence. Tim came onto my property and resorted to profanity, saying F*** you multiple times before getting into my face, becoming quite hostile and threatening bodily harm. I couldn't believe he was the owner of the company. He stated if I ever see you on this street, you are toast. Tim also stated that he didn't work for me, but the guy that contracted the fence and that I was nothing more than a problem and I had no say in the job. I came back in the house to call the police. They did come back the next day and finished the fence.
