Was referred to this company by American Home Shield. I scheduled them to come out ten days in advance. They never showed. I called AHS, who spoke to this contractor, who replied that I never spoke with them or scheduled the appointment, to which my phone records and my fiance's ears disagree. I couldn't believe that such a glaring error could happen with a company that thrives off of responding to plumbing emergencies. I am so glad I went with someone else, even though it means I have to take more time off work. I think it is worth it to have someone reliable, which this company is most certainly not.

We could not be happier with the results.  He was on time, very professional, neat and clean and the work was completed in a timely and efficient manner.  We will definitely call MSE again when needed.  And, I might add, ask for Troy.

AHS had sent W** / MSE out 9 months earlier and the exchange with the plumber was less than pleasant. Further, I had another plumber look at the faucet and he indicated it needed a new cartridge. So when Ed Lewis - owner of this company - showed up at my door to fix the leak, I called AHS and asked for a new plumber. Ed stated that he would not charge me the $60 co-pay if I allowed him to change the washer (he refused to change the cartridge.) When I told him the cartridge needed to be changed, he kept telling me that I should consider his free offer. On at least three occasions, Ed offered to do the work for free. So I ended my call with AHS and agreed to have him perform the services since they would be free. I thought, why not? After changing the washer, Ed offered to install new copper pipes for $4500. I did not ask for the offer and I declined. He was noticeably upset. He gave me a receipt that had the co-pay charge left blank. A few weeks later I get a bill from AHS saying I owe them $60 because I didn't pay the co-pay to W** / MSE. I told AHS that there must be mistake because Ed waived the co-pay. So I called Ed and talked to his receptionist and explained that there was a mistake and asked her to talk to Ed about getting it straightened out. She said she would. But a week later, AHS notified me that Ed stated I absolutely refused to pay the co-pay. So I called Ed's receptionist again and told her the whole story and she said she'd let him know. Ed never called and never handled the $60 issue. AHS has not been contacted by him to correct his statement and he wont return AHS' messages. The only good news is that AHS was on the line when Ed offered to do it for free, so AHS has offered to cover the $60. Hopefully they will send me that check soon. It's not often that you come across someone who is a down-right liar. I unfortunately had this opportunity with Ed Lewis and his company MSE Plumbing aka "W**" Plumbing. Hopefully you won't also have this experience.

He came to my condo on 04/28/10 to assess the situation. He could not tell whether the problem was a leaking water heater or a leak from one of the lines. The existing water heater was installed in an enclosure in my kitchen. The plumber contacted the home warranty company and told them my water heater needed to be replaced. He provided a bid to the home warranty company which included purchase of a new 40-gallon water heater, braided lines, permit, and disposal of the old water heater. The home warranty company approved the bid and ordered a 40-gallon electric water heater. MSE Plumbing did not call me back to confirm the installation appointment date and time. MSE Plumbing also did not tell me that the new water heater was being delivered separately. I called MSE Plumbing and Satya told me that they don't do water heater installations until late in the day. I was told that the plumber would arrive sometime between 11:00 am - 3:00 pm, but "probably around noon." The same plumber who prpeared the bid arrived at approximately 11:30 am, He called about 30 minutes before asking me if the new water heater had been delivered During the removal of the leaking water heater it was obvious that he was not experienced in remvoving a water heater from an enclosed installation nor installing a new water heater. He had to cut away some cabinetry to remove the leaking water heater. In the process he nearly severed a "hot wire." To install and connect the new water heater he removed one kitchen countertop tile and damaged some surrounding tiles. He cut through the undersink cabinetry in an attempt to connect the braided lines. After over 5 hours he was finally able to connect the water heater so that I had hot water. During the removal of the leaking water heater he wanted to know when the electrician was coming to install the service disconnect switch and then changed his mind and said the electrican didn't need to be there. I would not recommend MSE/WTF Plumbing. Once the dispatched plumber arrived to do the assessment and saw that the removal/installation would be more complex because of the fact the water heater was in an enclosed area, he should have either declined to bid the job or have a more experienced plumber bid the job and perform the work. I would have then contacted the home warranty company and advised that they would need to assign another company to do the job.

After they left another fixture on the sink fell off. When I ran the dish washer it flooded the room. They charged me to come back and fix it because they said it was not there fault. The piece continues to leak and they will not return because they said the 30 day warranty has past. I called within the 30 days and scheduled an appointment for them to return. They did not show for the appointment because they said the appointment was after the 30 days.
Response from MSA Plumbing
"We replaced a bathroom faucet and a kitchen faucet. His problem was an air gap that we did not work on. After we installed the faucet about a week later the client said our work was leaking. We showed up and found the air gab was not only missing but per the client (not us), they threw away the top half. I replaced it for him at a cost of only $20, obviously I did not charge for labor."

WHEN I CALLED THEM ON A SATURDAY, THEY STATED THAT THEY COULDN'T COME OUT UNTIL WEDNESDAY OF THE NEXT WEEK. THIS WAS THROUGH THE HOMEOWNERS INSURANCE SO I HAD TO WAIT. WHEN THE TECHNICIAN CAME OUT 5 DAYS LATER, HE WASN'T REALLY FRIENDLY. HE GOT THE JOB DONE IN A TIMELY MANNER.
