HEY HANDYMAN was hired to do an extensive remodel project at my home. The TEXTURING work they performed outside on walls of house, kept cracking and clumps of their stucco work were falling off. Each time they mixed more cement-type mixture, I don't know why, but they emptied left over mixture down the drain in my garage utility sink. They also left used paint brushes in same sink to soak over night. When drain no longer drained freely, I was assured they would use their plumbibg skills to repair clogged pipe and restore fixture to its former utility. They failed to adequately free pipe or drain. I will have to call in another plumbing service, and pay again.

I showed Eric that the back security unit was installed too low and to close to doorway that leads to deck. This blocks the unit from having a full view of my very large back yard. Eric left the unit pointing downward and limp because he did not tighten screws to hold units security beam upright. Twice I reminded Eric, that 1.) I had lost television reception and reception cable to house was left drooping so low, I had to call the local utility company out to tighten cable because it was drooping approx. 8 feet overhead (low)and was sagging into branches of a large bush in yard. Eric also used my electrical power cord that operates my garage door opener unit. Twice I had to call him back to reconnect my opener.

The smaller fence removal was OK. The repair of the second fence was unsatisfactory. After completion of work, I had to call Eric to return. The fence gate still did not close properly. I also had a open gap at the gate bottom. (my small Chihuahua could squeeze through). One board slate was not nailed down and swung freely forward and back.

Project began well, ended badly. I'm partly to blame, I paid balance ($3,600) (+ $100 tip) before job completion (since next day was Xmas). Wanted his family to have a nice Xmas. After that he was a no-show, often saying: Be there tomorrow. At end of job, I saw a open hole in the roof, over garage water heater pipe that goes thru roof. You could clearly see blue sky. I asked Eric to come during day so he could see, as well as check any other areas missed. Eric showed up at Night. Stated he fixed hole and left. That weekend it rained down the water heater vent pipe into the garage (& poss. the attic). Eric said he'd be out when there was a lull in the rain (there was a 1/2 hour lull... he did not show up). It began to rain HARD. I called Eric and got a message,"I lost my cell phone. Please leave a message." (I called another roofing Co. they said there was no vent cap on the pipe. I paid them $50). Eric showed up & was ANGRY at my call. "It wasn't raining in your kitchen?!!!

Eric brought 2 workers with him so the work was all done in just over 2 days. Everything was done and looks great. We were especially impressed with the carport--he not only enclosed & painted it, but used molding on the seams so it looks really classy (we live in a ritzy neighborhood so it blends well). Another handyman told us that the brick work couldn't be done to match. Eric himself did this & it matches perfectly.
