Harlow Painting

This man made promises and kept telling me he needed more money because he was doing all this extra work for me. He took carpet that I said he could have in the tear out of my carpeting but I told him I needed a piece of the rug and he said he had another one and he would charge me $40 to cut it to fit where I wanted it. I paid him in advance ( silly me) and never saw the rug. He also was there when I discovered a washer and dryer were included in the house so I sold that to him for $200 - a credit to what I was to pay for his serices. He did not complete the interior paint job in my house, the work that was done was sloppy. He had agreed to install baseboards and paint them after the flooring was done and he did not show up to complete that work. I had to hire another person to complete the baseboard install and paint. Currently I have places that were not cut in to the fixtures, and some where it simply was not painted. This contractor did not leave much paint and though I paid for the materials the other contractor had to purchase baseboard material. This is a case of trusting someone based on a prior experience and not realizing that someone can litterally play on your good graces. I was totally taken by this contractor and hope to prevent anyone else from this same fate. This was more than someone hitting on hard times.
