Go green electric was hired to do electrical grounding a mid a whole house waste and water repipe because a plumbing employee was shocked. The power to the house was turned off while the work was completed for the day. They said the work could not continue until the electrical problem was resolved. Our power was turned back on, but there was now no power in 2 bedrooms, both bathrooms and our heater. The following day the plumbing company offered to call an electrician because we were taking our son in for surgery. We received a call while my son was in recovery telling us that the plumbing work could not continue until the electrical for our house was grounded since it was previously grounded to our water pipes and the plumbing company could sub contract this electrical work which could begin early the following week. This way we could focus on our son’s recovery. Due to some logistics with the plumbing company, it was another 2 weeks before the electrician was able to big work. We had been waiting patiently during this difficult time so I was extremely frustrated when Go Green called me an hour and a half after Steve was scheduled to arrive and told me my door was locked, which I usually left unlocked. As a result, he went to another job. Had I received a call immediately, I could’ve been home in 5 minutes or had one of my neighbors let him in immediately. We did not resume work until later that week due to the rain and not wanting to have our dog chained up outside all day in the rain. When the electrical work was done, SMUD would need to come out so the home’s electrical panel could be switched out. While we were on vacation the following week, Steve from Go Green called and said he scheduled for SMUD to come out and that it usually takes a while for them to come. If this is the case, why wasn’t SMUD contacted at the commencement of work so there would be no further unnecessary delays? We couldn’t have the finish work done until electrical inspection was completed. When I checked the status with SMUD, I was told they hadn’t been contacted by our electrician yet, despite Go Green telling me they were waiting for SMUD. At this point, our 2 week remodel had taken almost 2 months and still wasn’t finished. Go green told my husband we have a 10 year warranty, I was told 5 year, but our contract only shows 1 year and since they were being subcontracted by the plumber, we were under the impression everything was written in a contract and we didn’t need to follow up about those specifics. We were dead wrong. They never completed all the work they agreed to do at the beginning of the job and when we contacted them about some concerns a couple months after the completed work, we were told we should find another electrical company. They also changed the final cost on the job once they found out how much we were approved for financing. Do NOT use Go Green Electric if you value your property!
