Super easy - stopped by showroom to choose initial samples then Peggy dropped off some other options as we made choices.

Peggy and Steve provided help in the selection and scheduling of the new flooring project.  They were very patient and helpful in providing information and samples, as it took me a long time to make the final flooring decision.  They have a big selection of flooring options in-store.  Once the final decision was made on the type of flooring, Peggy did an in-home measurement and scheduled the installation.  They were very accommodating with a schedule change at my request.  The installers (As I recall names were Gus, Ernie) were hard-working, very professional, knowleageable, and neat.  They arrived at the scheduled time and got to work right away, working tirelessly to finish.  Gus was the designer and he took much care in the placement of the boards. He took much pride in his finished product.   They also finished the flooring with new baseboards.  The installed floor is gorgeous.  The workmanship of both the flooring and baseboards was flawless.  I wouldn't hesitate to use this vendor again.

Steve, the owner, spent several mornings with my wife and I to help us determine which carpet would go best in our new home.  He showed the many options for carpet color and material.  He also spent lots of time discussing the type of padding we should use.  We ended up going with the most expensive pad and couldn't be happier.  Every time we walk on another carpet we notice how nice our carpet is.  Steve and his team were always professional and showed up on time and completed our project as discussed.  I look forward to working with Steve and his team again.

The carpet is beautiful, they were very professional, and the owner was wonderful.  They respected our budget as well.

Their quality of flooring was great.  It's just their prices were more than our budgeted amount for our flip.  If I had a bigger budget and it was for the home I was living in -  I would consider using this small store.

Couldn't be happier with the entire process.  Craig came out to measure and promptly emailed a bid.  Isaac and Jose, the flooring crew, were reliable, professional, and highly skilled.  They completed the job as scheduled with outstanding results.  They were very helpful in the selection of stain and final finish, and made sure we were completely satisfied every step of the way.  Clean-up was thorough and there was NO dust.  They even instructed us on how to care for our finished floors which, to me, was proof of how much pride they took in their work and how much they cared.  Every aspect of the experience was outstanding and I love my new floors!  Can't wait to complete the rest of the house and will definitely call on Sunset Carpet One to do the job.

My contractor picked up the molding and trim from Sunset Carpet One on September 4, 2012 and was told all of the items were contained in the three boxes they provided him. As my home renovations were on going and the flooring would not be installed until early November 2012, the boxes were stored in my garage.  My purchase included 16 each 7 feet long step nosing.  When my contractor opened the boxes on November 9, 2012 to install the step nosing, there were only 5 each 7 feet long pieces.  I called Sunset Carpet One and advised of the discrepancy.  They claimed that their records show my contractor was provided all 16 pieces of step nosing and I needed to contact him to find out where he delivered it.  I advised that I only have 3 thin boxes and there is no way 16 pieces of 7 feet step nosing along with quarter round, T molding and reducers were going to fit so they must have a box or two at their store.  They claim they checked and their records are accurate that my contractor picked up the entire order.  They were not interested in hearing what I had received from my contractor or what was stored in my garage.  In other words, my contractor was at fault.  This is ridiculous, unprofessional, and unethical on the part of Sunset Carpet One.  I am now out approximately $550.00 paid to Sunset Carpet One for the missing 11 pieces of step nosing and had to purchase additional step nosing (from a different vendor) to finish the installation of my hardwood stairing.  I would not recommend to anyone doing business with Sunset Carpet One.

We were in a hurry to renovate our new house before moving in. There was a limited amount of time between access to the house and when we had to move in. We'd been trying to have the work done by a big-box store, but all we got were excuses and delays and "We can't do that".
So we decided to try a local vendor. We went down to the store and explained our problem. The people there were "can-do" and willing to work with our short schedule. The salesman even came by after work to do the measuring and get us an estimate quickly. No hassle, no delay. In no time, we had new carpet & flooring selected and installed, in between the all other work happening and well in time for our move-in.
Both the carpet and flooring installations went very smoothly. Even the kitchen, where the installers had to remove 3 layers of previous flooring. We had selected sheet vinyl for the kitchen and were concerned that any seams be in an inconspicuous area. But, despite the large irregular area to be covered, we cannot find where the seams are; they are so neatly done.
The workers showed up on time and cleaned up afterwards. We could not be more satisfied.

First I visited the showroom in El Segundo and looked at the many, many options of carpeting and flooring available.  I was encouraged to take samples home with me to see how the different flooring would look in my home, which is fantastic.  It is extremely helpful to see the samples in your own home, which greatly assisted us in making decisions.  I shared my timeframe for getting the work done.  The carpet I had picked out would not be available to make my timeframe, and thus, I was shown other carpets that were almost identical to the one I had chosen that would meet my timeframe.  So, I chose another carpet and the work was completed earlier than my deadline.  I was so pleased and happy with the work and with the customer service and highly recommend Sunset Carpet.

Sunset Carpet One Floor & Home was very good. Their price, quality, and professionalism are great. I would highly recommend them. 

Fred came out an gave us an estimate on the floors to refinish or screen & coat, as well as carpet. We decided to go with another provider who had a kind of carpet we really liked, but Sunset had the best price to screen & coat the hardwood floors, especially with the 5% off coupon on Angie's list. I had a little trouble getting in touch with Fred, but as it was over the New Year's weekend that's understandable. They did ask us for a 50% deposit, which we refused to provide since the CA licensing board says your deposit should be the lesser of 10% or $1,000. They were so eager to get out there and coat the floors that they ended up starting without a deposit, and we paid in full on the 2nd day of work. My husband thought the men who did the work were very professional and capable. They replaced a bit of molding without being asked or charging for it. The floors look great.

I have had other estimates and their estimate was on the higher side. They were courteous. In terms of price, I got estimates from two companies and based on that I would say it was a “C”. They were punctual. I would not use their services to get an estimate in the future.

They were fantastic. They gave me an unbelievable deal. I'm going to use them all the time every time. They did it unbelievably fast and efficient. I dealt with Steve. I've never sort of experienced somebody like that in this industry where he was friendly and asked me questions and specifics. He offered me options. I told him about my price points and he did everything he could to meet or exceed them. I was stunned at how nice and how much that guy helped me. I told him about my financial situation in this economy and he said that he was going to work with me and he did.

 We were assisted by Craig, who came to our home by appointment and showed us samples.  Craig also gave suggestions and insight, was very knowedgeable.  We appreciated his consideration and "no pressure approach."  Our selection was special ordered.  Everything was handled efficiently and we were kept informed throughout the process.  Within a week of our order was in and installation was arranged.  The installers were punctual, professional and efficient.  They were careful with the moving and replacement of our furniture.  We are very pleased with the quality and look of our selection and would not hesitate to recommend or use their services again.

The people at Sunset are very helpful and responsive. Steve, especially, was great at talking to me about what I needed, not necessarily what I wanted. He wasn't trying to sell me the most expensive brand of carpet. Our house is small with a lot of people so they really worked with us on getting the rooms done. We still have one more to do but there was no pressure on getting it done. The installers were incredible - quick, friendly, professional, thorough.

I had an excellent experience with Sunset Flooring. On a Tuesday, I stopped in the store and asked what they could do for the family room which had a stained, non-cleanable carpet left from the previous owners. In 4-5 years we plan on changing all the floors to bamboo, but needed something in this room now. I was shown some inexpensive carpet, which they had in stock. On Wednesday, they came for measurements and an estimate, and on Friday of the same week they did the job. The two employees arrived at 8 AM and were finished with the room clean and all the furniture back in place, at about 10:30 AM. All the people I had contact with were professional from beginning to end.
