AVOID - The owner of the company filed and completed bankruptcy after one of his staff stole my wife's diamond engagement ring (over $15,000 in value) from our property while on a job. I filed a police report and sued the company and the owner; I was ultimately awarded a default judgement against both (ie. I won the lawsuit for theft of my wife's diamond ring), after which the owner filed and completed bankruptcy in order to avoid paying my judgement. The company did not have insurance. I contacted Family Carpet because I had purchased a voucher on AmazonLocal.  ($69 for three rooms--value $175.)  I spoke with Oscar and explained what needed to be done.  He told me up front the voucher would not cover the stairs, and there would be a $40 charge.  He explained a bit about how he worked, and who he worked with, and I was able to make an appointment for a few days later.  Oscar called half an hour before arriving to let me know he was on the way.  He and Ryan arrived promptly, took a look at the room, stairs and area rug I wanted cleaned, and got quickly to work.  They used a truck-mounted system, running the hoses through my garage.  There was a minimum of fuss and muss.  My carpet is light beige and had a lot of spots and stains, some of which had remained through several prior cleanings.  Oscar was able to get most of them out, and the few that remain are much lighter.  Even he was surprised at the result!  As an added bonus, I was given a pair of booties to wear until the carpet dried.  All in all, I was very pleased.
