The mailbox was a bit pricey, though that was a choice we made, so I can't really complain.
The installation was great!  While it did take a while due to the custom order, nothing was required of me after placing the order.  I was worried that the yard around the new mailbox would be torn up a bit, but it wasn't at all - you'd never know that an old box was removed and a new one was installed.

My only problem was that they set it back a little farther back from the street than was the original. For the price, I expected more.

The person who took my order over the phone was fine. For some reason, each of the three times I have called, I have been put on hold for lengthy periods of time (more than 3 minutes). I have no idea why. I like to book appointments for when work is to be done on my house. I am not at the mercy of companies who don't really seem to care about my business.

Horrible customer service. Ordered a custom mailbox from them 11/4/10 and never received correspondence indicating the status of my order. Checked my credit card statement and saw that the payment had been processed. Followed up with them a few days later, to learn the plaque was on backorder and they were waiting to hear from the vendor. Another week went by, and still no response/update on the status of my order. Long story short, had to follow up once or twice a week since they never called or provided updates on where my order was. Now they are saying it shipped (after i called for another update of course) today and is set to arrive 11/30/10. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Word to the wise, purchase your mailbox if possible elsewhere.

The lady that answered the phone asked what I needed and I told her. She then asked me if I lived in the Oakhurst subdivision. I said no and told her what subdivision that I lived in. Then she asked if all of the mailboxes in my subdivision were the same and I said no. Then she asked if my particular mailbox was put in by their company and I said I didn't know because it was here when we moved in. She then said that they only service mailboxes that their company has put in. I said isn't that pretty bad customer service and she hung up on me. I called back and asked to speak to the Manager and the same lady answered the phone and said he wasn't available and hung up on me again. So, I called back a third time and the same lady answered and hung up on me again. I called 3 different numbers and got the same lady at each number and was hung up on all 3 times. I am completely shocked by the way I was treated and will never use this company or recommend them to anyone.

I just purchased a mailbox at their facility. Has a couple of dozen mailboxes in their showroom. Quality and selection better than the big box stores. Personnel was not pushy. He did not give any sales talk at all. Just answered our questions.

This is the second time we have used Mailbox Works. They have very high quality products that stand up much better than less expensive mailboxes. They have a friendly staff and do quality work. We'll use them if we ever move again.
