While I worked directly to select and work with the HVAC inspector, she partnered some how with that inspector so that we never received the true and accurate appraisal of the HVAC system. On the first hot day after moving in in July, my wife went to turn on the upstairs HVAC. We found out it didn't work. The unit had to be replaced at the cost of $8,500.
I've seen a lot of 1 star ratings for Connie Barnes real estate on Yelp (they are all the "unrecommended" Yelp reviews). Those are the ones to read because they illustrate our experience wasn't a one off - it's a clear pattern. Many people have clearly had issues with this agent. The reviews should be enough red flags for some county or state agency to take some action against them.
We also made the mistake of buying the house from a realtor in the same agency as the one selling the house. That was a mistake. But using Connie Barnes was the biggest mistake. I've used about 7 real estate agents in my home buying life and she was the most underhanded of all of them.
Don't believe the "recommended" Yelp reviews or the Style Magazine awards. They're all a ruse.
