Central Valley Floor Design

This is a follow-up to my previous review. Got a call from Frankie at Central Valley. He was most apologetic regarding the dropped response. He said that was NOT the way they do business and that they simply dropped the ball on our quote. Looks like this was just a one-off error and we were the unlucky ones to experience it.

He talked with the carpet manufacturer (10-year warranty), and they agreed (at no cost to us) to replace the carpet with a similar quality carpet and to pay for the removal of the old carpet and installation of the new carpet. Mike and Dennis removed and re-installed all the large furniture items, and Dennis cut and installed the new carpet. The job was completed in one day and the new carpet looks and feels great. The way Mike handled this situation re-confirmed our belief that he is a trust worthy vendor who treats his customers with the utmost honesty and provides any extra effort needed to satisfy the customer. We will definitely deal with him for our future flooring needs.

Very pleased with carpet and tile installation. Now it's like walking on a cloud.

This is my second review of Central Valley Floor Design. Last year we had them install hardwood flooring in part of our home. Recently they installed wall-to-wall carpeting in the rest of the house. We are very pleased with both the carpet and installation. Brian was patient, knowledgeable, and responsive as we chose the carpets. Josh and the crew who installed the carpeting were polite and professional ? and did an outstanding job.

We talked to Brian Beaver of Central Valley Floor Design and within a few days he came out and gave us a bid for the job. We compared it with two other bids and found that Central Valley had much more of a selection than the other flooring contractors. They have a huge showroom and allowed us to take samples home. We selected our flooring and within a couple of days talked to Brian about starting the job . Brian called back and answered emails immediately. The job was completed within 3 weeks from the time we contacted them. We are very satisfied with this job and will use them for all our flooring needs in the future. Their workers have been doing flooring for many years, no day labors or inexperienced workers. They know their job and are perfectionist. The job took approximately 3 days to complete . They walked us through each step they took and afterwards asked if we were happy with the job prior to leaving. Brian also sent an email asking if we were happy.

Brian Beaver performed the work, and we cannot say enough about him. He was able to work miracles for us. The new flooring we purchased was from the original provider, same brand, etc. However, because a couple of years had lapsed from the time the initial floor was installed, the manufacturer changed the measurements on the boards. They were wider than the original, so Brian removed damaged and re-arranged some of the old undamaged boards to incorporate with the new stuff. He had to cut and piece the floor together like a puzzle because the areas of damage were in 3 separate areas of the large room. He was able to do the job and used all the boards provided, which was not enough as first thought. Someone with less experience would not have been able to do this, or keep the job price the same. Highly recommend this person.

Central Valley did a beautiful job from the first time we talked to Brian Beaver for an estimate, right through the installation. He is extremely knowledgeable and experienced, so he has answers to every question and ideas for how to accomplish what a customer is looking for. Brian responds quickly to calls and texts and emails. If he doesn't know the answer to a question, he gets it quickly. We were very comfortable that we choose CVF to do our floors, out of the 3 bids that we had. Their pricing is very competitive, and their installers are very experienced and care about doing a good job. Our job presented a few challenges, and they had solutions. They always showed up when they said they would and went out of their way to make things work for us.We are very happy with the finished product!

We talked to several floor installers before talking to Brian Beaver of Central Valley Floor Design and had tentatively decided on another flooring company. However, Brian's pricing was competitive and he was so patient and cooperative in working with us that we decide to go with Central Valley Floor Design for our hardwood floor - and are so glad we did. We already had two proposals and went into Central Valley Floor looking for a third bid for oak flooring. However, Brian has an aesthetic eye and suggested some alternatives that we had never considered. We ended up choosing a wood that is unique and new to us - and we love it. Brian offered several ideas of how we could combine carpeting and hardwood - and gave us pricing for each scenario. New flooring is a big decision and I particularly appreciate how willing Brian was to work with us until we felt confident with our choice. We felt the pricing was very fair. It included moving furniture, ripping out existing tile, leveling and prepping of the concrete subfloor, installation of the engineered hardwood, and new baseboards (painted and caulked). The quality of the installation is meticulous. Jack, the installer, showed up on time every day, was easy to get along with, and is a perfectionist in his work. This spring/summer we plan on having carpeting installed on the remaining floors of our home and will use Central Valley Floor Design once again.
