Not all contractors/builders are equal! Have utilized a good number of high quality contractors/builders over the years and without question, the Woolsey team, top to bottom and from initial conversations through project sign off, are the best of the best. Completed the construction for the installation of a 4 stop elevator in a 140 year old home. Project started on time, completed as agreed and at the estimated budget...and unless you knew there was an elevator installed, you would NEVER be able to tell as the completed project mirrors the original home. Every step of the way the communication was perfect. For us, we greatly appreciated having the same team show up 'religiously' every day on time and ready to work and always paid attention to the small details such as cleaning up everyday before leaving the job site. 100% recommend and would/will definitely use them again.

It went extremely well. On time and under budget. Although Woolsey Construction was not the cheapest, they were absolutely the best. Would we recommend them, in a heart beat. We started the job hoping to get it done before the winter rains, but unfortunately the rains came early and often. Overall ended up with a really great deck.

Woolsey was contracted to build a small addition to our single story home in Chula Vista. We needed to re-roof anyway so we decided this was the right time to add a master bathroom. Staff at Woolsey were very professional and easy to communicate with. We were fortunate to be able to connect with project manager, Seth, on an as needed basis via phone call or text message Questions were always addressed promptly and with attention to detail. Leah and the office staff took time to answer billing and contract questions. Work was completed June-October of 2018. The only minor complaint would be that very little work was completed in August 2018 due to a staff shortage. We wish there had been more communication about that delay. However, we are very happy with the completed project. Minor adjustments were needed to a few things after the project was complete and Woolsey was prompt to respond and fix those issues.

It went very well. The project was done in 9 months and it was fantastic. We had a great experience with them. If given opportunity I would use them again.

The end result is amazing! The process went smoothly, the crew that we worked with was well qualified, conscientious, and worked collaboratively with us. In addition, they were all great guys and we enjoyed working with them. We felt very confident that all of the structural issues were handled appropriately. If an issue came up, alternatives were discussed and agreed upon before moving forward. We would absolutely use Woolsey Construction again and highly recommend them!

This is our second experience with Woolsey Construction. The first was with our commercial property, which was a great experience from start to finish. We were so pleased with the quality of work and the responsiveness of the team that we hired them to work on our own home. Once again, they did not disappoint. They re-finished our hardwood floors that run throughout our entire home, painted some interior bedrooms and hallways, as well as painted all of the baseboard and interior doors. They were respectful of our belongings and left the jobsite spotless. We were very pleased with how everything came out and have never seen our floors look so good. We highly recommend Woolsey Construction for all types of projects, from large commercial renovations to home remodels.

Highly recommend Woolsey Construction! After a few personal recommendations we called WC to repair our slab leak. This was our first time hiring a contractor and so glad that we called WC. Luke took the time to help us assess the situation and walked us through our options and the eventual process. The bid was reasonable and we had piece of mind that we were in good hands and working with a good team. The project was completed within the expected timeframe and budget. The work was completed as expected and the workers were respectful, organized and clean. Thank you again very much!

Woolsey Construction (Luke, brother Seth, and team including Israel & Alan), are the best contractors I've worked with in San Diego, on any project. And this one was big and complicated. They stayed exactly true to their bid (slightly under, in fact), they worked on their predicted timeline, their work was very high quality, and they were uniformly INTELLIGENT and knowledgeable. I collected three different bids and consulted with an engineer and another experienced contractor, and Woolsey was the only contractor whose diagnosis, plan for repair, aesthetic sensitivities, and price estimates seemed reasonable. A special shout out to Israel and Alan, who spent several weeks in our home. They were extremely friendly with our kid, always left the job site clean, and were just generally the kinds of people you want hanging around your house for 3-4 weeks. I've already recommended them to other people, and would do so again.

Work was performed in a timely and professional manner. I was always kept informed of the progress and plans and communication was very open and frequent. They were always very responsive.

A small project but good co-ordination was essential because bathroom sinks and toilets had to be removed, work on the floors completed, and fixtures reinstalled. Everything went perfectly and we were able use at least one bathroom and the kitchen throughout the remodeling. Luke arrived promptly and listened to what we wanted! Because he understood exactly what we needed and wanted, the entire project was carried out perfectly, on time, and slightly under budget. All of the workmen were on time, courteous, careful about our cats, bringing-in mud on their feet, and containing the dust. The workmanship was excellent. After 6 months there are no leaks, no loose corners, cracked grouting, or other problems that now must be repaired. I am a restoration architect and have run crews of restoration masons for 20 years and I was completely satisfied and impressed with the professional attitude and workmanship involved in this project. I would highly recommend them.

It went great!  The work was done on time (once we finally got the permits from the city of La Mesa.). 
Luke kept us informed throughout the process and was very responsive.  Months after the work was complete we discovered some items that needed completion and some that needed touchups.  Luke came out promptly and took care of those at no extra charge.  We would definitely use them again.

Woolsey Construction provided excellent service, superior quality and a great working environment.  There are a myriad of things that set Woolsey Construction head and shoulders above the crowded field but I'll focus my praise on just a few of the highlights for myself.  

If you have ever been through a remodel process, especially a kitchen remodel, you know that the inherent nature of this process can be painful and messy.  After the project begins and demolition is done, living in a house without a kitchen means eating on paper plates and eating out at restaurants a lot.  Many people don't factor these inconveniences in when they consider a kitchen remodel project.  Woolsey Construction guided me through the process being up front with the time it would take and what to expect during the journey.  Focused on minimizing the painful parts, Woolsey Construction moved through the project with consistency and care which provided a feeling of a partnership rather than a client-vendor relationship.  There was no detail left undone and in a project like a kitchen remodel, it is the details that are vital.

The finished product was everything my wife and I had hoped for and we couldn't be happier.  We would recommend Woolsey Construction to friends and family alike.

Remodel Master Bedroom and Bath.

Luke and his crew were great from the start. This was our first home renovation so we didn't know what to expect, but he made things as easy for us as possible. Luke was timely in giving us an estimate and communication was always quick. We were promptly given timelines via email, and when needed, he would meet with us at the house and go over things. They started promptly at 8 am every morning and were always very courteous about noise and making sure they knocked before entering any room. They cleaned up every night and were kind enough to let our dog out on occasion!
The project took a week longer than expected due to some bad weather, but Luke was able to fit us in very last minute so we were appreciative of being able to start as early as we did. Our projects turned out better than we had hoped and the work looks amazing. The hardwood looks great and was done as quickly as possible since we were still living in the house. If there was something we wanted added last minute he was always able to do it. He did his best to keep our costs down while still providing quality materials. We can't say enough about how happy we are with the finished product. We will definitely be using him again to do our kitchen!

I would highly recommend Luke Woolsey and his team for any construction or remodeling job.  From bid to final inspection they were great to work with.  His bid package included  everything that we requested which was just the first indication that Luke pays attention to the details.  His sub contractors do high quality work and Luke is there to make sure everything is perfect.  He kept us informed throughout the project and in the end  we love our casita!

We were so happy with Woolsey Construction.  They came highly recommended from our other contractors and they lived up to the reputation.  They tackled a very complicated and uncommon issue in our house, and we were very impressed by the thought and care they put into doing the job.  There was a risk of damaging expensive granite or the walls, but they were able to keep from damaging anything.  I had misunderstood who was going to do the painting after the doors were replaced (I thought they were going to paint, but that was not their plan), but when we discussed the misunderstanding, they were generous and went ahead and did the painting for free, even though it wasn't actually in the contract.  There was some delay due to unforeseen part ordering, but they were good about keeping me updated, and they were always easily accessible by phone or email.  I highly recommend them!

Luke and crew were simply awesome.  This review will not be enough kind words to express how happy we were with the project.  You hear horror stories about remodeling a kitchen, but Woolsey Construction made our kitchen remodel painless.  
Luke is extremely professional, honest, skilled and punctual.  His communication skills are wonderful.  He called, emailed, and made sure we had all the information we needed as we needed it.  His crew did what they said when they said they would do it. The best part was how clean and neat our house was at the end of each construction day.  We were super pleased.
The outcome was great too.  Luke completed construction in half the time the other contractors quoted.  He completed it within budget and on time.
If I ever need construction work done again - no matter the project size - I will be calling Woolsey!

The work and experience of using Woosley Construction far surpassed our expectations. The whole process of working with Luke Woosley and his team was handled with utmost professionalism. Because this project was the first time I had ever used a general contractor, I had anxiety around making the right choice. Luke was very responsive and on several occasions spend the time I needed to go through the details of the project and was realistic yet reassuring of how the work would be conducted. Luke also came highly recommended by his references and the roofing company we were using. Out of the 3 bids I received, Woosley construction took the time to explain the details of the project I needed to feel comfortable moving forward...something that the other bidders seemed to be too rushed to do.

The actual repair and construction process was not painful. In fact, Luke and his team worked efficiently on schedule and always left the work site clean and organized everyday. He was disciplined about meeting weekly to discuss progress updates and took the time to explain and help us navigate upcoming milestones. The quality and craftsmanship was top-notch and actually inspired us to start considering other house contractor projects and areas that Woosley construction should help us with. We definitely recommend Luke and his team and plan to use his company again in the future.

He's intelligent, marvelous, and accommodating.  He gives you real quality stuff.  He cleans up after each job.  He's one of the best.  I trust him completely.  He can make difficult things happen.  There's no problem getting a hold of him. He goes the extra mile for his customers. He made my working bench mobile and it was fantastic. He is the only contractor that I've ever had that gives a fair price and if he goes under quote he gives a refund. It only happened once and usually his pricing is spot on. He comes up with great solutions for complex problems and he is very smart.

Great, very professional. Great communications, always on time and did a terrific job. Very pleased.
