Bill is very mellow, patient, and easy to work with. He is careful and tidy. He was respectful of our concerns (e.g. wood floor and keeping the pets inside). We used three different paints, each with a different color and texture and they all look great. We will definitely contact him for future paint projects.
Description of Work: Removed a wallpaper border near the ceiling; took down, cleaned, sanded, primed and painted 38 oak cabinet doors (offsite); and primed and painted the kitchen walls. He also drilled holes for new cabinet knobs. Once all the painting was complete, he rehung the cabinet doors.

We had just had all of our hardwood floors refinished, so we were a bit nervous about getting paint on them. Bill and his son spent the first three days carefully covering all the floors and stairs with brown paper that was taped down very carefully with blue tape and then other tape. They then completed the long process of sanding all the woodwork, lots of doors in the hallways and stair railings too. Some special product or process was used on the woodwork as we were converting from oil to water-based paint. Bill used a sprayer on all the woodwork with very positive results. The ceilings and walls were done next with a roller and brushes. We had had difficulty picking out a color we could agree on. Bill brought a popular color he had used successfully, and we loved it. The ceiling, walls, and woodwork in the family room went smoothly, and with Bill's careful plastic covers on everything, we didn't have to clean out all the bookshelves in the room! The bathroom came out great.
Description of Work: Bill painted our upper and lower hallways, a staircase (railings and treads), a small bathroom, and a family room. This included ceilings, walls and all trim, doors, door jams, windows, and baseboards. The walls took two coats of paint. All the trim was cleaned, sanded, and primed before the coat of finish paint. The paint cost was also included in the bid. We converted the woodwork in the hallway, including the staircase and railing, from oil to water-based paint, which involved an extra process. Some of the windows required quite a lot of restoration and sanding. In addition, Bill removed all the doorknobs so that we could have them refinished and put them back on with all the screws intact. Because we had had one wall in the bathroom and two walls in the upstairs hallway re-plastered, Bill had to add an extra coat of something to them before painting. Bill also helped us with some of the paint choices.
