They did a very good job. They are much more knowledgeable than the original company that put the HVAC. They knew the codes and they adjusted the air flow, so it much more balance now and they know what they are doing.

Installed air conditioning, furnace, ductwork in a day. Kudos to: office (Frances Barilla), sales consultant (Mike Anderson), & installation crew (Chary, Andrew, Kiril.S, & Aleksey). Price was definitely the lowest of three bids. I thought it might be too good to be true. But their reviews were high on Yelp & Angie's list. So I thought, go for it. And I'm glad I did. I couldn't be happier. Thanks !

Working with this company has been a great experience. Our consultant Mike thoroughly explained all of our options and answered our follow up email questions promptly. The installers (Alik, Alexei, and Yuriy) worked steadily through the 3 day install, arriving on time and leaving our property clean and organized as if there was not a project in progress. Very pleased with the system's performance. Good pricing.

We used a number of HVAC service providers over the years for our personal residence and rental properties. Most do good work on routine items but what separates the "wheat from the chafe" is when something non-routine comes up. We unfortunately had a faulty system installed about a year ago using another service provider. Incompetence and frustration ruled the day when it came to problem solving this unit and ultimately we never got to a root cause. After having that outfit remove the unit and refund our money we called West Coast. World of difference in terms of both service quality and equipment installed. Many service providers talk a good game when it comes to service; West Coast delivers - knowledgeable techs, impeccable clean-up, no cross-selling of things you don't need. The new unit they installed is so much more quiet than the previous unit. It is obvious to me West Coast is one of those rare family run businesses that understands a basic premises of business - keep your customers satisfied to stay in business! Thank you West Coast, the spirit of providing quality and value is alive within your company.

Replaced rooftop ac unit at a rental property. Everything done on a professional basis from end-to-end. Detailed quote provided; the price beat other competitors. Installation promptly scheduled, work crew showed up on time and completed all work. The work passed the post-installation inspection without any issues. No cross-sell of options that you don't need; appreciate working with people who have integrity. West Coast Heating will be our service provider for all properties, including personal residence in the future.

This is the third time I've used this company, I had used them about 3 years ago to install solar panels and then a few months back to add a few extra panels to my system. They do a great job with very competitive pricing. We had just installed a pool and needed to relocate both AC condenser's to the side yard so they were out of the way. Since the old units were about 18 years old, didn't work that well anymore and the old AC system was only 10 SEER we decided to go with a new system. The West Coast crew showed up Friday morning on schedule and quickly got to installing everything. We reviewed where to place the condensers outside so everything fit on the side yard with sufficient walk ways and clearance to the pool equipment. I had one XR14 standard unit, and then one XR14 low profile given some tight clearances. They tucked everything in neatly and ran new conduit for the cooling lines up to the attic, they made sure these were evenly spaced and symmetric around the windows. When they were finished I went up in the attic to inspect the heater installation. Everything they installed looked neat and tidy, and they had rerouted most of my ducting so it was out of the way...fixing what the builder didn't do right 18 years ago. Alik, Igor and Aram, thanks for a great job. One area where they could go over the top next time would be to provide a printout with all of the equipment serial numbers to the customer, this would have saved me a trip to the attic when I registered for the Trane warranty.

The salesman, Rocky, was highly professional. He took to time to go over several options with me; and when I asked questions he didn't know the answer to, rather than winging it, he sought the correct information and relayed it to me. What stood out dramatically is that of several vendors I solicited quotes from, West Coast was the only one that even mentioned SDG&E rebates. Turns out that there is a rebate, but qualifying for it is difficult, and it requires pre- and post-audits; so I'm not surprised most vendor choose not to bother. Further, West Coast gave me credit for the rebate up front, taking the risk themselves that the project might not pass the audit and they might not get the rebate. The rebate reduced my cost by more than 15%, and made it possible to buy a higher-end and more efficient system than I otherwise might have. Dominic and his team installed a Trane XC80 variable speed furnace and coils, and an 4-ton XV18 variable speed condenser. The project also included replacing all attic ductwork with new R-8 ductwork, sealing all outlets to avoid leakage, and other work to qualify for the rebate. Work was done in two days, as advertised, and his team laid runners everywhere they worked and were very careful to leave the property as they found it. It's a great revelation to have the system loafing along at 30% fan speed, which is barely perceptible, most of the time on these hot August days in the mid- to high-90s, rather than coming on with a loud roar for 10 to 15 minutes at a time which the previous system. Full results aren't in, but judging from daily and 15-minute electrical consumption readings on the SDG&E web site, it appears that this system may be as much as 50% more efficient than my previous system--likely a combination of the 18-SEER condenser, variable speed fan and compressor, and new ductwork. Trane is far from the low-cost provider in this arena, but as I see it, their cost is justified by the fact that in its Fall 2018 review of air conditioner reliability, Consumer Reports reported that Trane was second (by one percentage point) in five year reliability only to American Standard--which is manufactured by Trane. And, as noted above, the SDG&E rebate, which among the vendors I solicited only West Coast volunteered, allowed me to purchase this at a comparable cost to other, less-reliable systems.

All went well. Dominic and his team showed up at 8:20a.m. as planned and finished at 5:30p.m. They replaced the furnace with a Trane XL80, replaced all duct work, thermostat and dampers. They had to move the intake damper since the old one was inefficient. The team cleaned up well and hauled all old ducts and furnace and pipes away.

I did a ton of research and had 5 estimates from companies representing Lennox, Carrier, Bryant and Trane. The Trane system was by far the best that I could see and the price that West Coast charged to install beat out all the competition by better than 10% and they included a 10 year extended LABOR warranty on top of the manufacturers parts warranty. The installer team was headed up by Dominic. Can't say enough positive things about Dominic, he was professional at all times, his knowledge of what needed to be done to correct my previous installation was impressive and his team implemented his design to perfection. They did the entire job in just 2 days and left the place as if they had never been there. The office coordinated the HERS testing and the County Inspection and kept me up to date as to when they would arrive. System works as promised and is super quiet. Temperature is always the same as I set it and I never know that it is on. I had lots of dead spots before and extreme temperature variation across the house. Now if feels the same anywhere in the house. Mike was my estimator and worked with me to make a difficult installation appear easy. I rate them as A across the board without hesitation. Thanks a lot guys. Mike O.

They worked with me on timing since I needed HOA approval. They did the furnace and ductwork one day, then the A/C unit another and then sent a subcontractor to add insulation. The were prompt, professional and left my home pretty clean. They arranged for certificates and permits and all went well. I was very satisfied with everything and would highly recommend them to my friends and family.

This is the second air conditioner and heater that I put into this house and compared to the first time, they were excellent. They just did everything so good. There was a team of three or four and they were here for like two days. They all knew exactly what to do and they worked together. I was just really happy with them. My experience with them was all good. They were very professional and good. The price was good. They were right on-time. If I needed to, I would use them again. They have a program that for two years they are going to come out every six months and change the filter and check the stuff. That was in our contract. That was part of the deal. After that if I want them to come out, I would have to pay them, but that is part of their service.

I called for same-day service and received an arrival window of 9am-12pm. I even called to double check that I would receive a 30 minute notice of technician arrival. All seemed no problem and customer service was fine. The technician neither called nor showed. After 12, when I called to see what was going on, the representative could not seem to find our information. When I said, in frustration, that they could just cancel so that I could call the 2nd company listed on Angie's List, they said, "fine, ok." Ugh.

Amazing, amazing, amazing experience with West Coast. After interviewing several big-name HVAC companies in the area for the job, we found West Coast from the money-mailer envelope full of various coupons we all get here in Escondido. Figured, what the heck? So we had Comfort Consultant/NATE Certified Technician Mike Johnson come out and give us an estimate. We live in a house from the 1950's that had no central air, no furnace, just a wall gas heater. We needed a total cut-in which is starting from scratch. Mike gave us several options and every one of them blew away the competition. West Coast offered us so much more for the money. We settled on an amazingly efficient 3-ton Trane variable speed AC unit with two-speed variable speed furnace, with all the ductwork in the attic, all new supply and return registers, a super duper hospital-grade filter, digital thermostat, etc, etc. They even had to build the cat walk and install a light and light switch in the attic as there was nothing up there but blown-in insulation and cobwebs. The expert installation crew was headed by Nick (with a shout out to Aram and Uri too!). Those strong guys worked in 136 degree heat up in that attic.Wow is all I can say. Super impressed by their work ethic and the awesome job they did. It took two days and they left the place clean and the job well done. So well done that the third-party inspector was amazed at the quality of work. As was the City Permitting inspector! Everything passed with flying colors! That is another cool thing. West Coast took care of everything--including setting up the inspections and making the whole process as seamless as possible. The gal in the office was great to work with (sorry I can't recall her name, but she was a West Coast rock star too). Other estimates we got from different companies either didn't include the permitting or charged a lot extra for it or required us to figure it out on our own. With West Coast, they took care of it all, at no extra charge. Also, a shout out to Mohammed, who was a technician from West Coast that came out and waited for the City inspector to come and showed him the work for permitting. There was a two-hour window of waiting for the City guy and Mohammed was very pleasant and gave us great tips on cleaning the air filter and getting the most out of our system. We are so satisfied and happy with our central air and the job West Coast did, I just cannot say enough good stuff about them. Simply put, they will beat the competition hands down and not only that, you will get a better system for a better price with these guys. And, on an electricity usage note, we were cooling (kind of) the house with window units prior to the AC install. Our SDG&E bill has dropped significantly and that's with running the Trane unit around 74 degrees all the time. Love it, love it, love it. It's hard to stop a Trane, as they say, and it's hard to beat West Coast. Highly recommended!!!!!

Generally speaking I can’t say enough good things about the air conditioning and heating contractors in San Diego. When I was planning to install central air system at my home, I had requested proposals from 6 contractors with good Angie’s List ratings in the San Diego area. They all came in well prepared and acted very professionally. The proposals they presented were all acceptable. But the proposal from West Coast Appliance Service Inc. really stood out. Mike A.’s proposal was the only one that proposed a 3-ton unit with a ductless split system for my master bedroom upstairs to achieve optimal cooling and comfort. That makes a lot of sense to me knowing the temperature at my upstairs bedroom is usually a few degree higher than my downstairs living area. I really appreciate Mike’s thoroughness and attention to detail which prompted me to pick Mike A. overall proposal. However it was Mike’s alternative proposal that I eventually decided to go with so I don’t have a second piece of equipment ending up in my backyard. When it came time for the installation, it went smoothly without a hitch. Dominic, the crew chief is professional, knowledgeable and courteous. They arrived on time. They worked hard and tirelessly in the sweltering attic removing the old ducts and replacing them with new ones. They put up the new furnace and indoor evaporator/air conditioner unit without much fuss. The outdoor conduit they put up for the condenser lines are solid, beautiful and mesh well with my outside wall. They removed all the debris from construction and cleaned up the work area thoroughly. They were all pleasant and courteous throughout the two days of scheduled installation and completed the whole install on time. This had been one of the most pleasant construction experience I had thanks to Dominic and his crew from West Coast Appliance Service Inc.

Very responsive until the job was signed off by City Inspector.  After that, no verbal promises were kept.  Sloppy workmanship on the exterior electrical connection, which will cause water leakage in the future if I don't fix it myself.  They said they would make the repair, but then decided they didn't want to.  They also sold me WIFI for an added $100, promising to make it work, but now that they have my money, they just refer me to someone else.
