Not hired due to personality.

Jim Coleman called me saying he was referred to us by the roofer who recently completed work. Coleman was abrasive on the phone and acted like all of this was already discussed. He said he was supposed to call to talk about the painting we need. I told him we don't have plans to paint at this point but I'll keep his number. Then I contacted the roofer, who did terrific work for us, and told him that Jim Coleman called us. The roofer doesn't KNOW Jim Coleman or his company and did not give him our name. He has no idea how Coleman got our name and number. Scary tactics to get business.

Not professional, bad attitude, no detail. Hired him to paint the exterior & interior parts of my house. His price was competitive but his work is terrible!!! He was supposed to fix cracks in stucco before he painted but did not. The few cracks that he tried to fix came out terrible so he probably did not want to try to fix more. He could not tell that his paint job is bad when you can clearly see the original color in spots all over as well as light & dark areas. He basically put 1 quick coat of paint & thought he was done. He  did not trench around the foundation of the house at all. Everytime I pointed something out he had a bad attitude instead of fixing the problem. He broke a piece of slate on my flowerbed while painting & also broke a tall vase that was sitting on my porch. He did not show up for a few days & when I called him he said he was finishing up another job & that he forgot to call to let me know. He needs to have his business license revoked!!! He should not even be associated with Angie's list. I have over 170 photos to prove what I am saying so PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS PAINTER!!!! I can share photos to whomever is interested. He will tell you he is going to do this & that & even states this in his contract & still did not do the work as described. He also said our level of expectation was too high. ??? Aren't you supposed to be professional?  HE NEVER COMPLETED THE JOB.
We will be contacting CHANNEL 9 KUSI news station about this also & reporting him to the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU FOR SURE.
