R L Scott and Son Roofing

My parents had the roof replaced to my childhood home in 1993. 27 years later, after my parents have passed, I have been looking at having a solar panel system installed. However, because of the age of the roof, it would first have to be replaced. Going through files in my parents home I actually found the original contract to RL Scott & Son Roofing. I decided to give them a call, along with other companies for competitive bids. The one thing that sold me over everyone else was Richard's accessibility and communication. From before the contract was signed to after the job was completed I felt he was the one to continue the legacy between my family and his families company. Richard, his son and a couple of other guys re-roofed the house and even worked hand in hand with another contractor who was installing solar tubes at the same time. In the end, there were three generations working on my family’s roof. Extremely professional, thoughtful and detail oriented. I am glad that my parents found them to re-roof the house in 1993... and I am glad that they were still in business to this day to continue the legacy!

This company came out immediately when we initially called and gave us an estimate. We needed the leak repaired immediately due to the impending rains. We asked him to give an overall check for other possible issues that needed to be addressed. His price was fair and would recommend him.

It went fine. They came over and fixed it. He was outstanding.

Excellent job! I have used several roofing companies in my life, but R.L. Scott and Son roofing far exceeded expectations. I originally met the workers, just by chance, as they were getting food and water from a local 7/11 after finishing a job. They looked tired and worked but they were open to conversation. They spoke highly of the owner and company and were polite. A few days later I met with the owner at my residence for a job quote. Richard was very polite, professional, easy to talk to and he listened to my wishes without seeming to be burdened or pushy. After the necessary questions and answers dialog, he made sure I had no more questions or concerns and in a couple of days got back to me with a quote that was under what my wife and I were expecting. The job went very smooth. They worked cleanly and professionally with a super work ethic of doing quality work. What really stood out, besides the quality work, was the complete lack of foul language and actions one would expect from a construction crew. I am very pleased with R.L. Scott and Son roofing and would highly recommend using them. I know I will be calling on them again. Great job guys!

Richard Scott roofing does all of our roofs for us personally and for our customers. They provide great work on time at the correct price and stands behind there work. Richard has done many roofs for our customers and always performs professionally quick and most of all honestly. The roof on our own home was done with great workmanship and speed.
