They represented themselves as having 30 years experience, above average skills in these areas, but performed well below average. To that point, the pool contractor that the three parties agreed would work in cooperation now requires all pool coping to be re-installed since the flagstone and mortar are not properly adhering to the mortar bed. There is insufficient overhang of the flagstone coping in many areas to overhang tile to be set at the water line. The flagstone coping and decking are hollow sounding (not supported) in numerous areas. They sealed the flagstone with a sealer that is not recommended for use around pools (second sentence on the label for directions). The Deck-O-Seal expansion joint compound was installed incorrectly and does not keep water out of the joint in many areas. The tile work on the patio is laid unevenly, poorly grouted and 8% of the tiles are hollow sounding (not supported for foot traffic). To clean the grout haze from the tile they hosed down the patio and swished rags over the tile. The grout haze remains. They will not repair these mistakes claiming that's good enough and it is how they've been performing these tasks for 30 years. They did not clean up completely. They left a 10' x 10' x 4" thick concrete mixing-area mass of concrete in the driveway and covered it with unused sand. The backyard pool, deck and patio restoration will require new contractors and money to restore this man-made catastrophe.
