Timely and the owner and employees were courteous, respectful, and all work performed on time and which exceeded our expectations.

John Perkins did an excellent job of explaining all my questions and overcoming all my reservations. He put together a proposal to do what we wanted, where we wanted it (on a separate structure, not the house) and in a time line that worked for us. His team completed everything as promised, including the design work, obtaining permits, and getting it on-line with SDG&E. Work done 3 years ago and the system continues to silently save us money. I highly recommend Pert Solar.

Terrific! Perk had the best price and got us the quantity and brand of panels and micro inverters! We screened several solar companies, most of them much larger than Perk, yet John Perkins was the most trustworthy guy we met with. A few companies were downright sleazy. It pays to do your due diligence, we saved @ $12K!

It went very well. We also had a new roof installed and the two companies worked together seamlessly. Perk Solar walked us through every step of the process. We are very pleased with all the work & the output of electricity from the panels.

Exceptionally good work and followup!  Easy to work with!.

In order to install my solar panels I needed to upgrade my existing electric panel. Perk took care of everything from permits to contacting the city and even helped me get a rebate from the state. They were great every step of the way and the good news is I do not have an electric bill....really, my electric bill is zero dollars a month. I went from a $350/month electric bill to zero. I would recommend Perk to anyone who is considering installing solar panels or upgrading their existing electric panel.

John Perkins provided a well planned and thought out proposal for a new PV system on our home after we provided him our SDG&E information. He answered all of my questions and provided a nice presentation folder that detailed the specifics of my system components and how the project would proceed once the proposal was approved.

I compared he information provided by John against 2 other reputable Solar Companies that are direct providers (not brokers) and found that the systems proposed (LG) were very similar and the prices were close as well. Perk Solar's price was less but not enough to make a decision on. I chose to go with Perk because I felt I could trust him with an important project like this on our home.

I was very happy to have the his crew show up when he said they would and finish in the timeline provided. I would recommend Perk Solar to anyone looking for a PV system for their home or business.

Perfectly.  There was not a hitch.  Like I said above, John did everything.  From start to finish.  Really the only thing I needed to do was give him the check.  He applied for all permits and placement on the grid.  It was painless.  John even recommended a CU for us that did this with Solar Panels.  Very happy.

Outstanding!  You deal with John Perkins, the owner of the company and not some salesman trying to make a sale.  There's no high pressure as in "If you sign today, you'll get $100 off", etc.  John knows his stuff, is straight forward and honest.  His estimate was detailed and easy to read and understand.  All of our contacts with Perk Solar were directly with John so you know who you're dealing with, not another salesman whom you'll never see again after you sign the contract.  John is very personable, flexible and a pleasure to deal with.  Additionally his workers are a couple of young kids who are very motivated and don't mess around.  They show up, go right to work and are also very professional.  I most highly recommend John Perkins and PerkSolar!

We just had our first anniversary with using the solar system Perk Solar installed.  We have had no problems with the system at all and it met every metric for performance.  We just had our first "true-up" period with SDG&E and will be getting a credit from them for over generating power.  The power generated covered the cost of all our power needs including the monthly fee SDG&E charged.   

One thing that stands out with the installation Perk Solar did over other jobs family members have had done, is the neatness of the installation.  Anything visible is painted to blend in with the roof, they were extremely careful in working on and installing supports and running wiring through my existing cement tile roof.  

Perk wasn't the least expensive bid I received, but I trusted it and John Perkins.  He backed up every promise from when it would be installed, exactly the equipment he would use, to the quality of the installation work.  Due to some travel plans we had already committed to, the time we gave them to get the system operational was short.  The Perk install team took care of everything.  The electrician met with the County inspector to insure everything was cleared and there were no hold ups.  We were very happy then and are even happier now.  We've had a year of use and everything is working exactly as it was promised.  Quality equipment and Quality INSTALLATION, Perk Solar has my highest recommendation.

John Perkins of Perk Solar came over personally and met with us.  John did his homework before meeting with us and had our roof lay out and how much sun actually shined on it, so he could show us panel placement.  Once we went over panels, because we had a lot of questions, we selected the panels.  John immediately put in our request to SDGE while we worked on finance, knowing that this process was actually the longest.  John also recommended a Financial Manager to help us with financing.  Ultimately we haven't been in the house long enough, so we went with John's second recommendation and were approved for the loan within 2 days.  As the project began, Perk Solar team were very prompt and  courteous and professional.  Once the panels were up and ready, they waiting for the inspection by SDGE and put in the new electrical panel.  Approved, they had already set up an inspector for the city later that same day.  When we moved into this neighborhood, 90 percent of the homes had solar panels.  Almost all of them are leased.  Their process time from start to finish was about 6-7 months.  My process, start to finish 3 months. 

Bottom line:  Perk Solar is a very good company and I would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting Solar Panels for their home or pool. 

Exceptional follow-up with professional and polite helpful installers.  Owner, John Perkins, personally involved in planning and design.  Provided detailed explanations when asked and even returned a call on a Sunday! 

They put our solar panels on and they turned out excellent! We were very happy with the results.

We contacted John about replacing our 40-year-old electrical panel as part of a remodel and, based on our contractor's recommendation and after checking Angies List, we signed up with John At Perkins Electrical.  Unfortunately, before he had a chance to replace the panel, several circuit breakers broke due to the extra stress on the system from the remodeling so we were without air conditioning.  John came out the next day to fix the existing panel until the new panel could be installed a few weeks later after the permit went through. He also had the foresight to replace our electrical panel with one that is solar ready so that when we decide to go to solar, our electrical panel will be the right one.  
Perk Solar is a GREAT company and when we go to solar, we'll definitely be calling John!

This went so amazingly well that I have John now giving quotes for my friends. I find it so refreshing to be able to give a good review to a good honest company.



John's price was slightly less than competing bids, but was able to do the best job of explaining the complexities of the solar system, and what would serve our needs best.



Besides installing the panels in a very timely manner, John also made some roof repairs.  when they installed the stanchions, I saw a roof repair that I needed to address as soon as they left for the day. After they left, I went up to see how much material I would need to buy to make the repair, and John's guys had already fixed it.



John's crew was friendly, and very responsive to any question I asked, and gave good clear answers.



When you get bids for solar, be sure to have this company bid. If you get a better bid, it's either an amazing price, or they are taking shortcuts.

John is amazingly patient and easy to work with. From the very beginning he explained what could be done & gave us many choices. He worked very hard to keep us on budget & on schedule. John was also very neat while doing the work & would immediately notify me if something in our old house was not quite right. I have great peace of mind since John has done such an outstanding job for us. He also had great communication with all the other subs on the remodeling job. It was a pleasure working with him.
