Car wouldn't start & was towed to Greg's.  Problem was quickly diagnosed as a bad starter and was promptly repaired.  Cost of new starter and labor was very reasonable.  We have had both our cars serviced at Greg's for the past 12 years and have never been disappointed.  We have always been treated fairly and never pressured for unneeded service.

I have had my fuel gauge out for a couple of months and thought that I would be able to calculate mileage. It was going fine until I ran out of gas on the way up the Coronado bridge. Thankfully I coasted down the bridge and parked on a street off the main road. I took it back to Greg's Automotive after a recent visit and decided to get it replaced to prevent this from happening again. They hooked me up with a great deal on a rental car with a nearby car rental company and had my car ready to go the next day. It was great to see the fuel gauge working again! Outstanding customer service! I will definitely recommend Greg's Automotive to anyone.

I cannot express how happy I am to have found this shop on Angie's list. The car dealership that I have been going to for years gave me a long list of major leaks that my 2010 Explorer supposedly had. Because of my car's age I decided to get a second opinion and found Greg's Automotive on this site. Turns out that there is nothing wrong with my vehicle and the "leaks" are no more than moisture in the areas where the said leaks were. I couldn't believe it! I am so glad I brought it to this shop! they saved me over $1000 worth of bogus repairs and even gave me a ride home and back to the shop. You don't see this type of service in many places anymore. I definatelly recommend this auto shop. I will be going to this shop to change my oil from now on. Very happy!

There was a strange buzzing sound coming from the  steering column when the ignition key was removed the driver's door opened.  Greg's mechanics took apart the steering column (a time consuming task) and quickly identified the problem as a worn motor in the telescoping steering wheel mechanism.  Repairs were completed within the promised timeframe.  This repair resolved the problem, and considering the amount labor involved, was priced appropriately.  While an expensive repair, the cost of the steering wheel telescoping motor was $400 of the total.  We have been taking our two vehicles to Greg's for the past 10 years and have been very pleased with the service provided.  The staff (Greg and Mark) have been very straight forward with us about what the car needs and what is not necessary.  Their pricing is quite reasonable and the quality of repair services provided is top notch .

I was able to get scheduled for the service within a couple days, given a quote, allowed to ask questions.  Service was provided as agreed to and within a very reasonable amount of time and within the price quoted.  I was concerned about a specific issue that could have existed and mentioned this.  They checked the concerned item and found no indication of problem.   They did not take advantage of this situation or try to perform work that was not needed.  I will definitely do business with Greg's Automotive again.  Thank you!

Marc explained everything that could be a potential problem.  He also explained the seriousness of each issue and potential cost to repair.  The thing I liked most is that at the end of the conversation he explained what he thought about the vehicle from what he could tell.  I called him a few more times to bother him with questions but he was willing to answer every one I had.  I am really impressed with Greg's and very happy I finally found a shop with exemplary customer service.

It was pretty ironic but the day after I purchased  membership on angies list my check engine light came on.  I went to two different shops.  Neither seemed to excited to help me so I checked reviews and decided on Greg's.  Mark greeted me was courteous  and friendly they ran a diagnostic check for $96.  They replaced the cracked hose free and had me out of there in 30 without trying to upsell me anything.  I was really impressed.  I had the impression that these guys are very honest and care about you.

Greg personally helped me out with my old toyota camry when it was on its last legs for a very reasonable price! I am a 25 year old girl, and for that reason I was really hoping he wouldn't try to tell me something was wrong that wasn't even broken and take advantage of my auto mechanic naiveté. Not only was he honest but he bent over backwards to help me when he was understaffed. Great affordable place to go, my car is running great!

Took the car (1997 Camry)  in to have the 120,000 mile preventive maintenance performed per the manufacturer's recommendation and I also had an oil drip I wanted fixed since it was staining my drive way and using too much oil.  I was using this car to drive 35 miles each way to work every day and planned on continuing to use the car for as long as it would last, realizing that it was an old car.  We bought it new and my wife got excellent use out of it all these years, but did not drive it that much since it just had 123,000 miles on it.  I bought her a new car and took the Camry for a work vehicle.  I probably got talked into doing more to the car than I needed so the expense was much higher than I originally planned to spend.  It really did not need the tune up and my gas mileage was worse after the tune up than before so it accomplished nothing.  I got the car back and drove it a few days only to see I was still losing oil on my driveway so I took it back.  They checked it out again and found the the oil pan gasket was leaking and wanted $300 to fix it plus was going to charge me another oil change and filter charge.  I got a little upset about that since I brought the car in primarily to fix the leak and they had said they did that when they charged me for a valve cover gasket replacement.  They waived the additional oil change charge and repaired the gasket.  I took the car and continued to use it for work transportation until about 45 days later I was driving home and the engine seized on the freeway.  I had the car towed to my home and ended up selling it for $250 to a young guy that thought he might be able to rebuild the engine.  I had thought about pursuing some possible liability on the part of Greg's Automotive, but decided I did not want the fight.  It was possible that the car just gave up, but when I turned the car over to the guy I sold it to he was looking the engine over and found that there was no oil registering on the dip stick.  When the car seized the oil light had been flashing a few times a few miles back up the road and I was concerned, but couldn't see how it might be low again since it was just fixed and had quit leaking.  Draw your own conclusions here.  I think that Greg's Automotive is probably an OK shop, but I just don't know what to think of my experience.

They do not try to upsell me on services I don't need, I really appreciate that.

This is the place to go for any car needs. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Although it's been a while since I was last in for service, I believe they are a very trustworthy establishment. The only thing I would ask to change is have Saturday hours for those who work and cannot get there during the week.

They are reasonbly priced. They are quick and efficient. They were able to diagnose a problem with my truck that a dealer wasn't able to diagnose after two visits. I like them a lot. They are good people, and have a nice clean shop.

They're awesome. They're honest, they're fast and they were reasonably price. They will give you the full story of what's going on, what needs to be done now, what can be held off and what can be done different ways. The work is always done very well and I never had to go back. They're one of the  few reputable auto shops I've come across.

They seem to be efficient and I would recommend them. I will use them again.

My husband is extremely happy with him and we know the prices are good. We always take our cars to them. We originally heard about them from AAA.

I think they are fair.  They give me options if I want original equipment or other kinds of parts.  They are definitely honest and will tell me if it is worth doing or not, which is helpful.  I trust them.

They gave me an estimate and stayed with that estimate. It took a day longer to repair than they quoted but I have no complaints and I will use them again in the future.
