Dlouhy Garage Doors of San Diego

My garage door started going up about 1 foot then falling back down.  I disengaged it and tried to lift it manually but it wouldn't budge.  I looked up and noticed that one of the springs was clearly broken.   I resigned myself to missing my evening yoga class, but hoped I could free my car in time for work the next day.
My neighbor gave me Dean's name.  He came within an hour, replaced both springs in maybe a half hour/40 minutes and was done!  I got out in time for yoga. 
I gave the B for price because the labor time was so short--but I don't know how much those big springs cost.

I Door works.

Dean installed the garage door approximately 14 years ago.  Did a great job then and has provided excellent service at reasonable costs since that time.  I would recommend him to anyone looking for his great service and fair prices.

The employees from Dlouhy Doors were extremely thorough and very helpful. I had a very complicated door to install. They spent about an hour to figure out how to do it the best way they could. They were very fast and efficient. They were very professional and well mannered. I have nothing but good things to say about them and I will definitely use them again.

I told Dr. Kasiri about Angie's List and we needed to check it. I asked Dean Dlouhy if he was member, said he heard of it. I mentioned the horrible lubricating odor coming into the dental office from the garage. Dean said it was a citrus smell and shouldn't bother us. He seemed irritated I mentioned it to him, but the odor was very strong and the wind was blowing so we opened the front lobby doors to air out the place. In the afternoon after we tried to open the garage door and exit, the bracket came off the wall, was completely wobbly. Dr. Kasiri went and realigned the bracket, and put a screw in the bracket. Dean had not secured the bracket to the wall. Dr thinks it was unfair he charged him too much for simple lubricating, and he also charged him 3 times the amount to do the large garage door at his residence. He would not use him again and he is very upset. Dr Kasiri says he needs to call and apologize and refund some of his money.

Very professional, on time, explained everything he was doing, and very friendly. We originally called in late afternoon on the Saturday before Easter. We got a call back almost immediately, from someone (I believe Dean Dlouhy's wife, though I'm not sure) who was knowledgeable and helpful. They couldn't make it until Monday because of the Holiday, but were flexible about the time. As far as I can tell from other calls, the price was reasonable. He did try to sell us new springs and wheels as a preventive measure, which we don't think we needed, but I really don't know for sure.

THEY CAME PROMPTLY. THEY WERE VERY POLITE AND EXPLAINED WHAT WAS WRONG IN TERMS WE WERE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND. THEY SOUGHT TO HELP US WITH ANY CONCERNS WE HAVE. THEY FOUND A LESS EXPENSIVE METHOD TO REPAIR OUR GARAGE DOOR TO KEEP THE COST DOWN.
