While doing my taxes, I discovered that there is an overage of $5881 in my escrow account. I contacted Countrywide and they told me that it would be reviewed. They called me on 3/9/06 and stated that there was in fact, an overage and that they would FedEx me the money the following day. I still did not receive the money on 3/16 so I called and they said that the check was being mailed that day. On 3/20 I called. They said it was mailed on the 17th and takes 5-7 business days in the regular mail. I still don't have the $ and I called today,(3/27) and was told that they think it was mailed on the 17th, but may take 17 days in the mail for me to receive it.

I CANNOT REACH A LIVE CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSON WITHOUT GOING THROUGH TONS OF HASSLE. THEY PREFER FOR YOU TO USE THEIR AUTOMATED SYSTEM OR LEAVE A MESSAGE. THEY MAY TAKE A FEW DAYS TO GET BACK TO YOU, SO DO NOT BE IN A HURRY FOR SOMETHING.
