Burgio Stucco company just completed a re-stucco job on our large house. It was a challenging project because it had never been completed 20 yrs ago (by another company) because we thought then, that we might tear down and rebuild parts of the house. So there were areas with original color stucco, areas with only scratch coat, and areas with 20 year old stucco from our 20 year old partial remodel. In short, a mess. There were some holes in the old unfinished stucco. There were areas with no weep screed, and there was the need to fix an area where an old addition met the original even older house. BURGIO STUCCO DID AN ABSOLUTELY GREAT JOB!! Paul Burgio (owner) was great at communicating with me, and flexible in working with me on this not-typical project. I could tell he wanted me to be happy with the results, not just get the money and run. His entire crew, especially Jesus and Charles were terrific and knowledgeable and hard working. Robert made sure everything was left clean at the job site daily and worked very hard, as all the guys did. Tito mixed up the perfect color stucco mix, Mariano was a quiet and efficient worker, and the two Joses were there shorter periods of time but were very good as well. They were all respectful and friendly. I watched as the work was done and I spoke to them right away if I wanted something altered, you could say I had high expectations for the money. Well, Burgio stucco met all my expectations! It's not super cheap to re-stucco a large house with quirks like ours had, but the price was fair, and totally worth it for all the repairs, weep screeds, z-bar flashings, crack repair and reduction systems, bonders, and then complete re-stucco of a 5000 sq foot house! THE HOUSE LOOKS BEAUTIFUL, AND I BELIEVE THE STUCCO WILL LAST A LONG TIME AND HAS ALREADY IMPROVED THE LOOKS AND VALUE OF MY HOME. Thank you Burgio stucco!!
Description of Work: Re-stucco very large house with many lathing and repair of external walls done and then the complete re-stucco also done by Burgio Stucco.

The crew started and finished on time. They brought in an extra man the second day to ensure the job was completed on time. Stucco job was good. They cleaned up the job site upon completion. Stucco job price was resonable. I got bids from 3 companies. I have had some stucco job nightmares done before. Owner Paul Burggio is a member and on the board of the local Stucco association. This gave me some piece of mind that the job would be done to my satisfaction and to industry standards.

I did not participate in the supervision and details of the work as it was being done. I was out of town during the work. None of the other owners of units in the building are members of Angies List. The project was for the HOA and the President of the HOA dealt with the general contractor who had oversight management with Paul Burgio. We chose Burgio because of his associaiton with the general contractor. We checked his credentials and he was responsive to our quesition. During the project, the lathe installation got behind and slowed the rest of the project. Burgio decided to use quick set stucco material, which was more expensive, to do catch up. The HOA was not charged additonal $$'s. The quick set does not require the curing time as traditional stucco ( as I undersand this). Also, Burgio was making decisions based on one unit's pressure to get their part of the building done first (because they had scheduled vacation renters), without dealing with the HOA president for approval. This was bothersome to the other units. The end result was a beautiful job and the stucco looks great. The general contractor was essential to managing the stucco part of the project. The HOA paid an additional management fee to the GC for this but it was a wise decision to keep the two contractors working together and kept the HOA protected.

Paul was very prompt and professional from my first contact with Burgio Stucco. He provided an on-site estimate within two business days and was able to complete the job in one day the following week. He matched the texture of the existing stucco, in a slightly darker grey color (we haven't decided if we will paint it to match the rest of the foundation). The job site was left clean and they didn't disturb the nearby roses!

An excellent job was done for us on very short notice. Our inspector signed off our permit immediately the next day. You can't get better service than that.
Description of Work: Repaired a wall around a power panel that had been ripped open in several places to hook up a new solar system. The inspector came on 2/2/2014 and wouldn't sign everything off until the wall was all closed up. We left it open because we thought that the inspector wanted to see the conduit. We called Burgio Stucco Inc and they sent an excellent employee over the next day to do the job for us immediately. The wall was finished and matched the rest of our wall by the end of the day.

The Burgio Stucco team patched all cracks, put on a crack reduction coating on south side of house. They patched around the electrical meter and a 3x3' window opening, re-browned front and rear gables, scraped, patched, applied bonder and re-stuccoed the whole house. They did lath and stucco on two sides of the garage. |They were a smooth working team. All walkways, windows, and landscaping were well protected. Their clean-up was quite thorough. All workers were very polite and helpful in moving things in the way of the work to be done, such as awnings, potted plants and furniture.|I am very pleased with the new look of my house.

Mission accomplished: Burgio Stucco was amazing! I sincerely, unequivocally and highly recommend the company. Burgio Stucco exceeded all of our expectations. After interviewing a number of contractors, Paul Burgio stood out. His knowledge, qualifications, and candor impressed us. When he signed on to work on our home, he ultimately agreed to work and comply with Federal and State governments as well as the City of San Diego. He did so with aplomb! His office staff responded to all questions and proposal requests in a polite and timely manner and his talented crew of craftsmen, professional and very hardworking (didn?t skip a beat in the awful heat that week), led by Tom, who is nothing short of remarkable, were excellent. The project was a huge undertaking for us; and, despite the fact that Burgio Stucco does this work every day, they were patient and attentive to our questions and concerns. Work was scheduled and completed on time. A+ for Angie?s list!
Description of Work: Stucco: Performed lead abatement by removing and disposing of lead containing paint according to Federal and State regulations; Repaired and prepared walls after plumbing and electrical contractors as well as the abatement work; Installed new foundation vents; and,Re-plastered (stucco) entire 1937 Spanish Revival home, separate garage and garden & retaining walls working with a sample board that had been presented to City Historical Resource Department to restore stucco to its original fine sand finish.

I called Burgio Stucco and left a message asking them to call me back because I had some questions about applying the correct color stucco to our recently built masonry walls on both sides of our house. The owner of the company called me back the next day and answered all my questions and gave me some additional information and advice which was very helpful to us in determining the best way to approach our problem (mismatched stucco color). He was very kind, helpful and professional in spite of knowing that he would probably not get a job out of the deal. My husband and I greatly appreciated the help he gave us and will call Burgio in the future if we need stucco work done in the future.
Description of Work: The owner of Burgio Stucco helped us a great deal in determining the most effective and least expensive way to get a better color match on the stucco applied to our newly built side yard gate walls.

ErThey came out to the property twice to meet with us to assess the project and to offer suggestions for what we were trying to accomplish. The second visit was to re-confirm color -- since we had a very specific property nearby that we were trying to emulate. Paul Burgio (the owner) came to the property both times from several miles away and was very helpful and did not rush the process. He even accelerated the process and was helpful with the scaffolding to be used by our painters after the stucco team had left. Follow-up touchups were performed quickly and efficiently and were mostly as a result of them assessing their own work -- not something we requested. Very thorough. The crew was courteous and very sensitive to neighbors for parking, noise, vehicle protection from dust and importantly the cleanup each day at the end of the work shift. Very happy with the results and the overall experience and would recommend them. We chose Burgio Stucco principally based on the Angle's List comments and ratings and Paul was among a short list of companies that even responded to our request for proposal.
Description of Work: Very thorough inspection of the existing property and patch issues. Explained the need for pressure washing (vs. sandblasting). Erecting of scaffolding platforms and ensuring existing tenants could get their cars in and out of the garage (very accommodating). Provided pressure washing and then performed the necessary prep work prior to stucco application. Added window and garage accents to provide dimension on an otherwise very flat and boring side wall was most helpful and quite affordable. Color mixing and matching was an art and science based on the pallette and we were very pleased with the results.

There were several days of prep work required prior to doing the finish stucco. Taping off of existing brickwork on the house, windows, walkways, etc. All items on the exterior of our home were removed or wrapped before starting. If the item was fragile, Tom or OJ would bring it to us for safe keeping...I really liked that. The crew was very professional, very respectful and courteous and responded to every detail and aspect of the job that we asked. We were leery about the finish stucco finish and they 'walked us through' several to choose from. My husband and I are very interactive with any work being done on our property as we want the end result to be well done and if we see something during the process that we have a question about, we don't hesitate to ask. Both Tom and OJ were very receptive to this and it was great working with them. During this time we were completely renovating our backyard and side yard landscaping, including replacing an old deck, installing block walls, concrete, etc. But, stucco was the first step (after removing the old deck) and we insured nothing would be in their way during this process although there were other workmen doing 'prep' work in the other areas of the yard, during the stucco job. After the job was completed, Paul Burgio came out and we all walked around the house, I can't tell you how well it looks and how pleased we were with this entire process. We plan on using Burgio Stucco for our daughter's home later this year. Why can't all contractors be like this?
Description of Work: We had a complete re-stucco of our home, eves painted as well as the fascia surrounding the house. We have a home built in 1950 that was in desperate need of a complete re-stucco. There was almost no stucco left on the house and it had been patched over and over again through the years. We received several bids from 3 different companies but were most impressed with Mr. Paul Burgio, who was the mid-priced bid. He responded to our call quickly and met with us a couple times prior to sending his fantastic crew (Tom & OJ) out to begin the work.
