During the project, the lathe installation got behind and slowed the rest of the project. Burgio decided to use quick set stucco material, which was more expensive, to do catch up. The HOA was not charged additonal $$'s. The quick set does not require the curing time as traditional stucco ( as I undersand this). Also, Burgio was making decisions based on one unit's pressure to get their part of the building done first (because they had scheduled vacation renters), without dealing with the HOA president for approval. This was bothersome to the other units.
The end result was a beautiful job and the stucco looks great. The general contractor was essential to managing the stucco part of the project. The HOA paid an additional management fee to the GC for this but it was a wise decision to keep the two contractors working together and kept the HOA protected.

project and to offer suggestions for what we were trying to accomplish.
The second visit was to re-confirm color -- since we had a very
specific property nearby that we were trying to emulate. Paul Burgio
(the owner) came to the property both times from several miles away and
was very helpful and did not rush the process.
He even accelerated the process and was helpful with the scaffolding to be used by our painters after the stucco team had left.
Follow-up
touchups were performed quickly and efficiently and were mostly as a
result of them assessing their own work -- not something we requested.
Very
thorough. The crew was courteous and very sensitive to neighbors for
parking, noise, vehicle protection from dust and importantly the cleanup
each day at the end of the work shift.
Very happy with the
results and the overall experience and would recommend them. We chose
Burgio Stucco principally based on the Angle's List comments and ratings
and Paul was among a short list of companies that even responded to our
request for proposal.
