I have a very brown thumb and no matter how I try to do landscaping it's just not in the cards for me. I obtained three estimates for an area I wanted converted to hardscape. Luis returned my inquiry promptly. He came out and gave an estimate which was extremely lower than the other 2 two I had received. Another landscaper made two appointments and never showed on either. Being that his estimate was so low I had reservations on how things were going to go. The day they were to start the project Luis and his employees were on time if not a little early. They did a magnificent job removing all kinds of rocks, a stump, bushes etc. They converted the area to hardscape complete with individual drips for each plant. I have to say I was blown away by the job they did. They even took way several other large rocks I didn't want. I had several other projects in mind and Luis (Brothers Landscape) will be 1st on the list to call.

they did a fine job. The brothers were very responsible. They seemed to have a new employee who was careless and broke a pot and a planter. The brothers took responsibility and apologized. Since they did such a good job, I would use them again.

Luis and his team did an excellent job and they did it pretty fast. I put down the pavers for the pathway myself because they couldn't get back before I had to drive to my new house in New Mexico and I didn't want to leave it to chance. Then on the last day before I had to move Luis called and came over and apologized for the delay and that I had done that last pathway part. I had him check my work and he said it looked good and didn't need to be redone. Now a couple of months later I just got a picture sent to me of the yard and all the plants look great, the gravel ground cover is perfect and the place looks wonderful. If I ever decide to landscape the back yard I'm calling Brothers Landscape. They delivered within my rushed timetable and did a great job.

We hired Luis after a nightmare experience with a previous landscaper who started a project at our house and abandoned it after he realized he couldn't finish the job. From the first time we talked to Luis we knew he was the right person for the job. Luis was extremely professional since the beginning. He showed up on time and really took the time to understand what we wanted to do in our backyard and gave us a lot of really good ideas on how to improve the project we had in mind. Once he started the project he communicated with us on a constant basis to make sure we understood what he was doing and to make sure that we were happy with every stage of the project. We will continue to hire Luis for future landscaping projects and we're happy to refer him to anybody.

Luis and company did such a wonderful job and respected my property. I have three levels and the third level 50'x3' always had weeds that looked horrible. The only way to reach that level was to climb up the cinder block wall steps. Not something I ever want to do. So I hired Brothers Landscape to clean the area and put down several layers of weed cloth and fill it with stone. They had to do this by using buckets. They hauled 4 yards of stone to that third level and never complained or had to take a break. This is back breaking work and these guys were awesome. After they finished putting the stone in they completely cleaned and washed everything including skimming my pool. I never expected that but they did it. I handed them my camera to take pictures up there of the new landscape. I don't think a weed would dare grow there ever again. Next they started trimming bushes and vines in the front garden. They used a blower to get rid of all the dead leaves in the garden and removed a tree stump and other dead vegetation. I had them add six bags of mulch and remove the soaker hose. When they were done with that I realized I had forgotten that I wanted some artificial turf put in a small area which had stone, dirt and weeds in it completely covering my french drain. They didn't flinch and Luis made it happen. Everything was done in about four hours. I just can't say enough about these guys. They really do love their work and are meticulous when it comes to cleaning up. I will be asking them to come once a month to handle my garden and do some planting for me. Hire Brothers Landscape and you won't regret it. The cost was very reasonable considering they had to hand carry all that stone.

Luis arrived on time, his work was quick and his prices were fair. I've since referred him to my coworkers and friends.

This company never called or came by to see the property. We went back and forth for a couple of weeks trying to get them to respond and see the property. I am still in need of assistance.

I didn't even get further than the initial meeting with Luis; right from the start he was rude. He showed up today for our initial meeting to give me an estimate on the cost for lawn and yard maintenance. We are moving to the east coast in a few weeks and need a yard maintenance service. He started off by saying that we needed an initial 'clean up' service, because our yard was 'completely overgrown.' We have a wonderfully maintained yard that we work **** ** almost every weekend. I replied that we didn't need a clean up service, that we simply want to maintain the yard as it is. I told him that we already have tenants and one of their favorite things about our house was the yard and garden we made. He then said that he had anticipated our meeting not going very well today because my phone number was not a San Diego number so I was from out of town and therefore wouldn't understand how landscaping services worked in this area. I'm not really sure how landscaping in San Diego is so different than anywhere else in the world... cut the grass, trim the trees and bushes, weed-whack. It's not that complicated. He said the cost would be about $200 a visit, so $400 a month because we wanted them to come twice a month. He said it would be an additional 'clean up fee' before they would start coming regularly that I didn't even ask the price. We live in South Park by the way, so our yard is not that large for San Diego. He then kept going on about how he has been doing this for 20 years and that I am not going to find a company better or more 'reasonably priced' than his and that he is the best.... again... because he has been doing this for 20 years. I don't recommend this company at all.

Luis and his crew completed the work we ask him to do on time and exactly as bid. They were all very professional, ethical, friendly and efficient in their work. Luis is a very knowledgeable and helpful individual. His expert advice helped guide our project to a perfect end. He was on time for the bid process and work, showing up when he said he would. He was competitive in his bid and bent over backward to get the job done correctly. We will definitely hire Luis again. He is highly recommended.

We were thoroughly impressed by the work performed by Luis and his outstanding team! The amount of overgrowth and trimming and pruning they had to do was huge! And yet they did a thorough and complete job, not missing anything. The before and after pictures are quite dramatic and it's all due to their hard work. All the team members we met we kind and wanted to be certain that we were pleased - and we certainly were! Brothers Landscaping exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend them. We would not hesitate to employ them again!

From the first time I met with the owner, Luis,  I could tell this was a man who took pride in his work and would honor his commitments.  I still can't believe the major cleanup work he and his crew did!  It took several full days and lots of hauling.  I don't use poisons on my property, so all of the weeds were removed manually.  There was a ton of dead shrub overgrowth and unwanted small trees and shrubs that were removed.  They also did a lot of trimming and shaping.  My garden is very natural looking so everything must be trimmed by hand. Several full days and several thousand dollars later (money well spent!) my property had never looked better!  He also has tackled my extensive sprinkler repair and replacement work and that also has gone great.  And with the weekly maintenance provided the garden has remained looking picture perfect.  Luis is competitive in his pricing and he even met my previous landscaper's monthly rate of $1200.  The difference is Luis is patient and he listens, he's a good communicator,  he bends over backwards to get things done just the way I want them, and he spends the time and supplies the manpower to do it.  I can't recommend this company enough!

We have almost 1/2 an acre and it took Brothers Landscaping (Luis and his team) almost 2 days to weed whack and clean up the yard. We also had them cut back 25 rose plants and spray about 1/2 of the yard with Roundup. During this time, they kept us informed as to when they would be out to do the work, and always showed up when they said they would. Hard working, excellent job. Highly recommended.

Luis came to survey the area and provide an estimate.  He was right on time, personable, knowledgeable, completely understood what I wanted, asked pertinent questions and provided the cost estimate.  Luis and his crew arrived as agreed and started the back-breaking work:  slope behind house with 30 degree incline and 30+ degree slope between fence and sidewalk.  Total area approximately 3500 square feet.  The first day involved three men working several hours and second day was a crew of four men arriving right on time and putting in 4+ hours.  The removal of the massive amount of 6" deep ice plant, ivy, etc. took approximately 20+ man hours.

Luis was present to supervise and work along side his crew and every worker did their job fast, efficiently and exactly as we wanted.  Luis repeatedly checked with me to insure we were satisfied.  When both slopes were cleared the crew did more work for a couple of things my wife noted and a few things that Luis insisted and were above and beyond.  Having dealt with this ice plant over the years and knowing how exhausting the work is, I can't stress enough how hard they all worked.  After all the work was done to our and Luis's satisfaction his crew did a meticulous clean up of the work area as well as other areas.  

Before leaving to haul everything to the landfill Luis again asked for our review of the work and our approval.

After all was said and done we felt the job was more than worth the cost.

This is the first time we have had work done by Luis (Brothers Landscape) and would gladly recommend him to others and plan to have him back later when we have decided on other changes, additions, landscaping, etc. Luis takes great pride in the work his company does and is a person of integrity, solid character, professional, trustworthy and a man of his word..
