Blaine Baker Garage Doors

What a joy to find a small, one person business which is professional, courteous and responsive! Needing a tune-up for our increasingly noisy electric garage door, I called yesterday afternoon and left a voice mail at the company number, 619-593-9740. Yesterday evening I received two voicemails back from the and quot;Owner, Installerand quot; John Eveland. Speaking with John this morning I was able to schedule a 1pm service call. John called again at 12:30pm and said he was ahead of schedule if that worked for me. John arrived shortly thereafter with a truck fully equipped for garage door repairs. John was pleasant, direct and cheerful and I had every confidence in his work. 45 minutes later his work was complete and our garage door now hums whereas before it was clunky. I highly recommend working with Blaine Baker Garage Doors vice the large chain operations!

John was punctual and courteous. He worked quickly and efficiently. The end result was great.

But - he does not take credit cards. Old school guy with no computer, but his work and his work ethic is very good.

He knows his stuff and got right to work fixing my problem. He was thorough, answered all my questions and guarantees his work. Once again, Angie's List provided me with a quality tradesman--someone who solves the problem, does the repair, cleans up the mess and goes on to the next job. He provided me with the appropriate paperwork and then a week later bothered to call back to check that everything was working well.

My home repairs always seem to occur as emergencies...and once again, through the List, I have found a service provider that solves my problem at a fair price and very conveniently.

The owner-installer, John Eveland, quickly responded to my initial phone message. He attends to them every evening, apparently. We arranged to meet at a certain time to examine my garage door issues, and he was there at that time. That alone, not a typical contractor behavior, is enough to earn him high marks! His work was exemplary and his billing method excellent -- when the work is done, the bill is presented.

I came to know about John Eveland and his company, Blaine Baker Garage Door Company, through my new found friend through Angie's list, Shawn Mullineaux, the owner of Gary's Gardening. When Shawn was working on our irrigation/sprinkler sysrem, I asked him if he fixed garage doors as well since he was also doing home improvements. Shawn said no but that he knew a reliable person that would do it for me, gave John's business card, called him, and he fixed the problem the next day. Came to find out that John Eveland was on Angie's list as well.. I was so happy and thankfull for all the blessing that came my way!!!

They did an outstanding job. Jamie did the installation and he knew what he was doing. I had no complaints at all. He hauled away the old door. The price was competitive. They don't have a low price but it was reasonable.

It went great. Quick response to initial phone and in person to do the job. John accessed the problem and went to work. Within 40 minutes my garage door was working perfectly again. I liked the fact that John did not try and up sell me a thing. He just did fixed the problem at hand. Very professional. For an honest appraisal of your garage door needs I would definitely call this company.

Of all the garage door installers I contacted from Angieslist, Jon (the owner), from Blaine Baker Garage Doors, was the only one who came to my house, measured, went over different options, and wrote me an estimate on the spot. This type of customer service is amazing. Jon's price was competitve with all the other quotes I received and he uses a better quality garage door than his competitors. Needless to say I hired Jon. He special ordered my garage door and several weeks later removed my old garage door and installed the new one. He used my existing garage door opener and didnt try to upsell me on a new one (which I was expecting). Jon did an awesome job and was a pleasure to work with.

My neighbor was very satisfied with the work the company did. She was extremely grateful for the help.

Baker was fast and efficient. They arrived right on schedule and had the door fixed very quickly. They were polite and honest as nothing was mechanically wrong with the door and he told me so.

They returned my call the same afternoon and made an appt. for the next day. He called to tell me he was delayed on a previous job and would be late. He was here just when he said. He was very friendly and knew what he was doing. I am extremely pleased.

HE CAME ON TIME, HE DID WHAT HE WAS SUPPOSED TO DO, AND HE WAS VERY PLEASANT AND REASONABLE. HE WENT TO HOME DEPOT AND BOUGHT THE RIGHT KIND OF DOOR OPENER FOR ME AND INSTALLED IT. HE WAS VERY NICE AND I WOULD DEFINITELY USE HIM AGAIN.

PROMPTLY RETURNED PHONE CALL. SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT AT OUR CONVENIENCE. EDUCATED US ABOUT MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE.

WASN'T HOME WHEN THE JOB WAS DONE. GREAT JOB. I HAD TO CALL BACK AND ASK A QUESTION. VERY RESPONSIVE.

HE REPLACED OUR GARAGE DOOR FOR THE SECOND TIME WHEN WE DAMAGED IT. HE DIDN'T MAKE ANY JOKES ABOUT BACKING INTO IT WITHOUT RAISING THE DOOR. ALSO WHEN WE NEEDED AN EXTRA DOOR OPENER, WE RECEIVED THE EXACT MODEL WE ALREADY HAD WITH EASY INSTRUCTIONS TO SET IT UP.
