The crew had to work around a major landscape project that was happening at the same time, requiring them to walk around the home and work from the back for the entire time. Additionally, my wife had a major surgery during this project, adding coordination complexity. Job took three days. Crew arrived on time, worked throughout the day, and finished the project when promised. On two days, they locked up when they left as there was no one home. Covered and taped off everything, were understanding of the room where we locked up our cats, made accommodation in there process when my wife was discharged home in the middle of the project, and left the house as clean (if not cleaner) as when they arrived. Very happy with the outcome. More importantly, my wife is happy with the outcome!
"We are very nice and do care deeply, thank you for the compliment! We are very sorry about this and we are now under new management. We have made some changes and we are ready to take on more work! Please do not be discouraged by this review..."
I'm not sure about some of the reviews here. This company rocks and is extremely accommodating. My close of escrow was delayed a day which pushed Bell out by one day. I figured I would have to re-schedule lots of appointments but Bell got the job done for me same week which really helped me out.
Getting this work done is back breaking labor and Bell just cranks it out like clockwork with excellent end results. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed!
At first their skip trowel job looked decent. They assured us that once the walls dry up, the job will look better and the imperfections won't be so obvious. WRONG!!! The walls dried up and the imperfections were blaring. Not only that, they had missed out not two, not three but several spots near the door, behind the window shutters, in the kitchen. It was a disaster. They had also removed all the switch plates, vents, light fixtures and the painting crew was supposed to be putting them back up but that never happened. I had to pay through my nose to get all of that done.
The one thing that made me nervous from the get go was the way Jim had drawn up the contract. It was a printed form which said $$$ paint whole house. It didn't mention whether they would prime the walls, how many coats of paint would they apply, what was the quality of paint they would use, would they paint different rooms in different colors. When I called Gale to get clarifications she only got irritated.
I guess Bell Acoustical's primary expertise is to remove popcorn from ceilings. They want to venture into doing bigger projects and I was the guinea pig. When I asked Jim about his experience in doing projects like mine, he assured me that his company had 30 some years of experience and they've never had dissatisfied customers. So that was a blatant misrepresentation right there. They screwed up big time with me but did not have the courtesy to make good their mistake or in the least apologize or admit to their mistake. Gale is a tough cookie and the only thing she said to me repeatedly was, and quot;I'm doing business for profits and I have made no profit on this job.and quot; Anyone who claims to be a professional should honor their contract in the least. All she thought about was her profits and nothing about the company's reputation or how she left me in a lurch.
I'm a first time homeowner and dealing with the Bells was one of the most unpleasant experiences of my life. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.
"We have an excellent reputation and our company has been around for a very long time here in San Diego. We have very happy customers and sadly negativity speads faster than positivity in our society. We are trying to change that. Stay tuned for more positive feedback, because we hear it is everyday!"
