Accurate Irrigation and Lighting Service

Unfortunately, this was the second contractor I asked to work on this job and it still leaks. Tom was professional -until the end result- and recommended a plumber to fix what he was unable to but that didn’t work out. After I asked him to solve it he just said that he couldn’t. This took over 4 months of my time as well. Very dissatisfied.

While I did not hire Tom because he was so busy that he could not help me right away, I was so impressed with the time he took with me on the phone (several calls), his willingness to help at a later date, even giving me the name and phone number of others that might be able to help me right away. I would definitely consider working with this company in the future should I still need help with my irrigation system.

It went fine. He did a good job.

Took two visits to complete the job. He needed to get parts after assessing the job scope. He seemed to know what he was doing and was very pleasant. He charges $70 per hour

Good. Tom was extremely conscientious in communicating approximate ETA's and if he discovered something that would require either more time or additional parts, he would tell me first. I would highly recommend him. The approximate cost I've listed below is for time AND materials.

Tom was quick to respond and made an effort to have them working by thanksgiving. He and his associate figured out how to extract broken pins from the fixtures to avoid my needing to purchase new lights. I will call him again when having problems with lighting or irrigation.

Spoke with the owner on the phone. He was very nice, very responsive. Unfortunately he was so busy he could not schedule a meeting before we left for our other home in Connecticut. We will call him in the future if we need additional work done.

This guy has over 30 years of experience and really knows his stuff, old systems as well as new ones. He is very cost conscious, works quickly but thoroughly, does a great job, and gives you parts at his own cost. Very personable and responsible as well. The only drawback is that his services are in great demand, and you will have to wait. But just get out your hose and hang in there because he's worth the wait.

He was wonderful, replaced timer, went through each sprinkler and adjusted. Very efficient. About 2 hours, new timer and many other misc parts.

Tom, the owner, is one of the friendliest, helpful and trustworthy contractors who have worked at our home. He really worked to find the most mutually beneficial time to come to the house. He is as trustworthy as they come. AND my dogs loved him. Tom checked all our landscape lighting, adding uplighting in certain areas and repairing some wiring in others. He replaced our broken transformer and time dial with a much higher quality one with a life-time guarantee. He checked all our drip lines, replacing some which had been eaten through by some kind of animal, replacing some drip heads with others more appropriate to the needs of the plants in the area. Tom also reset our drip timer to correspond to drought restrictions in San Diego. We couldn't have asked for more!

I've had them out several times. I had someone else do the irrigation and they didn't do a good job. So he came in and cleaned things up for me. He would come out any time I needed things changed. I'll be using him again this year. 

Tom graciously fit me into his busy schedule. I gave him my sob story of a broken pipe that had been lingering since before I purchased my new home in early March 2016. He came out and repaired the pipe along with replace the sprinkler head. He ran into a few issues but was able to overcome them without major work due to his experience. Tom is very knowledgeable in irrigation and I plan to have him out in the future to give my system a fine tuning.

Thomas, the owner, is very knowledgable in his area of expertise. He explained everything he was doing and used the highest quality irrigation components. He always let me know when he would be here or if his work schedule needed to be adjusted. At the completion of the project he let me know that he would come out again in a few months to check on the system and see if any adjustments were necessary.  I highly recommend Thomas with Accurate Irrigation Service.

 He was very good on communicating before coming out and called me later to see how it went since I was not home when he did the work but he did communicate it clearly to my wife.

It went great except for one issue that they were not able to repair. They were very congenial and friendly to work will.

Tom has worked on my irrigation and landscape lighting in the past and done a fantastic job!  I accidentally broke one of our irrigation lines with a shovel when putting in a new plant.  I also needed a drip line repair.  Even though it was a small repair Tom was nice enough to come and fix it for me in between his busy schedule.  He also adjusted the times on my lights and irrigation systems without me even asking.  I really appreciate his good work and excellent customer service!  Wish more business owners would provide such good service.  

Went with someone else.  Nice guy, but $70 per hour is over-priced for this type of work.

Tom Jara came out and evaluated our entire system because at that time the system was not working at all, and had a leak.  After his assessment he went on to make all the necessary repairs and adjustments.  He came back three times to install additional heads, and to assure that everything worked properly.  What a different system!  I had no idea how poorly the system formerly worked.  What a magician.

Tom is fantastic. He does a great work and he's just an all-around good guy. He's incredibly helpful and always happy to provide advice. We're always happy to see him -- even if it means we're having an irrigation issue! We highly recommend Tom.

Tom did a fantastic job. He is very professional, calls ahead as a reminder, willing to go the extra mile and very personable. He outlined his approach,  gave me a solid ball park figure and completed an initial walk through to completely understand my needs. He is also very good at explaining what he has done and offers additional suggestions (but not in a pushy way).    Tom knows his business, provides excellent customer service,  (who calls you ahead of time to tell you they are on their way theses days?) and reasonable pricing. I also liked the fact he went over everything with me before handing me a bill.    I had read the early and said is this guy really that good?  
The answer is yes. Tom will be coming back to add a complete a few more tune-ups to help us reduce our landscape watering use.  A thumbs up!
