I never saw Glenn after the initial walk thru and talked with someone else at the house during construction (I only saw them once or twice). All the work they did was in unexposed areas. After the construction on the house was nearly complete (and long after VHT had been paid), I crawled in the access spaces and discovered that his guys had torn up all the attic insulation and ran the cabling willy-nilly all over the place. It looked like a spiders web. The same was done in the crawl space below the house. The cabling installed in the new bedrooms was not the high quality for HD that was asked for, but basic cable. When confronted, VHT sent someone out to reinstall the insulation and "clean-up" the wiring. The guy did what he could do, but the wiring was still strung all over the place. I was told that to do it any better all the wiring would have to be re-run and they were not about to do that. Bottom line, things work, but the installation was very poor. VHT attempted to fix the mess, but was not willing to do it right (as they were well paid to do the first time). Our baby arrived and we moved on. I would not recommend them.
Response from VALLEY HOME THEATER AND AUTOMATION
"We are very sorry to read the member's comments concerning a project we did on his behalf FOUR years ago. We strive to meet all of our clients needs, and pride ourselves in maintaining a reputation for high customer satisfaction. We are never pleased to see an unsatisfied client, but are a bit perplexed as to why this comment is coming now - FOUR years after the completion of the work. To give an overview of this project, the area where the member requested wiring to be run was in an unusable attic space with a sloped roof. As we are experienced in this industry and without specific instructions received from the member prior to our starting the work, we ran the wiring as we saw best given this unusable attic space. Had we received instruction at the onset from the member that he wanted the wiring to be at a 90 degree angle with the rafters, we would have had no problem accommodating his request. Placement of wiring does not affect the performance. Insulation was moved about during the work and was not replaced to its original position. We admit this was an oversight on our part and we did return to rectify the matter to the satisfaction of the member. At that time, he requested we change the position of the wiring to a 90 degree angle. We advised him that to do so after the work had been completed would require that all wiring be removed and the job started over. We advised the member that the placing of wiring would not degrade the integrity of the installation of the wiring or the performance thereof. Our standard practice has been and will continue to be that we use only high grade cabling and wiring. For this project, we used RG6 quad shield along with two CAT5e all in a bundle. So we are unsure as to the member's comment that "basic cable" was used. No dysfunction of the wiring or cabling performance has been experienced by the member as attested to by his comment that "bottom line, things work." Once again, we are sorry to read the member's comments; however, are pleased to learn that he has not experienced any issues with the wiring itself after all these years."

Glenn is extremely thorough and professional. Always polite and easy to work with. The installation crew was clean, professional and always on time. Glenn provided sound advise and I was very pleased with the outcome of the project. I would highly recommend this company. Prices are what you expect from a quality home theater installation. VHT also didn't try to sell me more than I needed. Very pleased.

They provided a firm price and a completion date and they arrived on time and completed the job on time. The price quoted was on the high end but they were reliable.

Overall, everything has been great. We just love this guy! They came in well below the bids of several other home theater installers, and they have done a great job so far. We did not feel like we were being ripped off at all.
