Things started out well, she was personable and seemed responsive. Over the years we felt there were a number of instances where the company's lack of attention resulted in unnecessary expenses. At times we felt their service rated an A but at other times it rated a C. We believe no one from the company checked repair work before paying some of the contractors as we were charged for other contractors to repair work that had not been properly performed the first time. There were also repairs that were perfomed that were unsightly and not to our standards but functional, e.g. a large hole cut in the wall was patched and painted but the joint tape was still visible, the sheetrock patch was not textured so it stood out from the rest of the surrounding textured wall. When a tenant vacated a property, we were charged an additional fee for a Locksmith to open the house when the house was rekeyed even though her office had a key to the home and needed to visit the property to do the move out walk through and put a lockbox on the door. We were charged for items missing or damaged by the tenant instead of the funds being taken out the the security deposit. An HVAC contractor she hired at our expense to check the furnace falsely stated that it was leaking carbon monoxide and needed to be replaced. Her office called to let us know how much it would cost to replace the furnace. We called the local utility to check the situation who verified there was NOTHING wrong with the system. We independently had other HVAC companies check the system who have confirmed there are no leaks in the system and it was still under manufacturer warranty. The people at Summit Property probably believed the false statements made by the original HVAC contractor, but we felt they were not savy enough to question the report. The responsiveness and professionalism has varied over the years. Part of that has to do with the staff that has changed over the years.
