Our first job with Rob was finishing off a basement room to make it living space. It was a very awkward space and he had just the right answer. He somehow managed to engineer a way to work with angles and slopes and ducts to frame and finish the space from a cave to a bright useable space. Another example: We needed a grill for our deck and found that an electric grill was the most environmentally friendly. Got it home and realized we could not just plug it in to a kitchen outlet. Called Rob (again- he has performed multiple other repair and remodeling tasks) and he consulted with us about several options for running a conduit from our electrical box to the deck and best places to mount this. He installed the external electrical outlet within half a day. There was absolutely no indication at all that any repair had been done other than the presence of our new outlet. He is clean thorough and complete in every job he does. Another instance was replacing our front door. I wanted a heavier more aesthetically pleasing one than what came with our house. He worked with me to choose one at Home Depot- I made the order he picked it up installed and added trim to also enhance the interior. He also replaced the very boring rounded trim around the clostet next to the front door and our whole living room space is enhanced. I will be ringing him back to replace and add trim to the rest of the house. Rob has been so pleasant to work with and well worth the money.

We have had our share of contractors in our life, most were usually late, took longer then quoted to finish the job, or just wouldn't show up. Our worst contractor redid our entire front yard including driveway. He showed up, bull dozed the entire front, then we didn't see him for several weeks at a time and when he did show up it was just for half a days work. R.T.Cook Construction was a very nice surprise. Mr. Cook was always on time, very diligent with his work, and finished the job on time. Unlike other contractors who start 2 or 3 jobs at a time and float inbetween each worksite. Cook gave us his full attention, completed the work on time and was very helpful in advicing on other home projects. He has even helped me over the phone while doing my own do it yourself projects saving me time and money, and many times has advised me how to fix various things that have gone wrong in a household from typical use. One instance was when our main bathtub backed up. I snaked the drain from both above and below the tub in the garage but to no avail, I called Mr. Cook for some advice, he told me that if the drain is clear then something might be stuck in the pea trap under the tub. Mr. Cook told me how to remove and inspect it over the phone and sure enough there was a little toy from my children's bath toy bucket that had gotten mysteriously past the drain catch and into the pipe. Mr. Cook must have spent 40 minutes on the phone with me on a Sunday afternoon to help me. Now that's service and this was during the NFL playoffs to boot. For any home improvement or repair work we always call R.T.Cook Construction first.

Rob Cook is a very complete craftsman - he plans very well - gets things done in a timely manner - is able to deal with necessary adjustments during the process - and - is very careful to maintain a clean and comfortable living area for us. We are totally pleased with his work and would highly recommend him to anyone seeking quality construction work!
