+ -1 moreRough start due to scheduling conflict, not sub-contractors or mine but Sears, so I can't blame Midas-though I was upset over spending an entire day off work waiting. The process was much slower than I had been explained-again not Midas fault, I never saw or heard from the salesperson again-so Midas was my only contact. I asked him to keep the mess under contriol & he tried his best.
Description of Work: This contractor was actually a sub-contractor for Sears, used for measuring/drawing templates for manufacturing countertops, demolition of old countertops(tile) & installing sink re-plumbing of new lines, installing new faucet & garbage disposal, which I paid for seperately as this was not included in the price of countertop install.

+ -1 moreDo ask for a project schedule/timeline for each phase of project. Do request same crew comes each day and make sure you are introduced to each member of crew and that the crew chief/ supervisor is identified. Do meet with contractor weekly to discuss progress. Do expect the unexpected. For example, we had to relocate meters addidng thousands of dollars to our job. Have progress meeting with both the architect and the contractor on your site for a walk thru during construction process. Attention to detail was the biggest strength of Bau ( the owner) he truly has an artisit's eye and so does his crew. They take pride in their work and work has a team.
Description of Work: We had a wrap around porch and deck added onto our home. The existing porch and deck had to be torn out and major excavation work had to be done. Two different gas line outlets were installed to give us the flexibility of relocating our gas grill. In addition, both plumbing and lighting had to be installed for the outdoor kitchen. The crew arrived promptly each day and cleaned up after themselves. The quality of the work is so outstanding that after all this time we still receive compliments. A supervisor from PG&E offered an unsolicited compliment on our project. He asked for the name of our contractor. Furthermore he commented that he had seen plenty of remodels and additions over the years, but he considered the craftmanship on our project exceptional.

+ 3 moreIt has gone very well. I would recommend them to anyone. Baw Kwong is the owner and he is very professional and insures that his team provides the highest quality of work. He was on the job everyday and met with the owner to resolve issues. The team led by Andy was very hardworking. They are true craftsmen. They used two subs that were also very good. Zhao Electric did the electrical work and Universal Yard and Tree did the concrete work. The job was completed ahead of time and on budget.
Description of Work: They did a major expansion to an attached garage. It was about 200 square feet. They also repaired some rotting beams and rafters on the second floor of my house as extra work. They completed the work 2 weeks ahead of schedule.
