Richards Roofing Company is very honest, competitive in pricing and honors their warranty. 4 years ago, we purchased a house with a wooden shingle roof. At the time of sale, our insurance company would not insure the house because of warped and missing shingles in some areas and I guess wooden shingles are more of a fire hazard. We finally found a company that would provide insurance at a higher cost. After the sale, we started looking for a roofing company to fix or replace the roof. The first 2 companies that came out told me the roof was in very bad condition and needed to be replaced. Both bids were around $20,000k. When Richard (the owner of Richards roofing company) came out, he actually got on the roof, took some time to evaluate the roof condition and told me he could repair it and that it didn?t need replacing. He gave us a quote of $1,200 to repair the roof, or $20,000 to replace it with asphalt shingles. Although it was much cheaper to repair the roof, my husband and I decided to replace the roof for safety and insurance reasons. We chose Richard because of the thoroughness in evaluating the condition of the roof and his honesty. His crew did a great job, keeping the site clean and finishing on schedule. I have had no problems with any leaks, but a few days ago, 2 areas at the edge of the roof started to lift. I called Richard right away hoping he would honor his roofing warranty and fix it without any charge. . I left him a voice mail about the problem, and he returned my call right away assuring me he would correct any issues. He came out the very next day and fixed the problem. He said the wood by the edge of the roof had some missing nails, so he just needed to secure it with extra nails. He honored his warranty and there was no charge. What great service!
