Two things to note: 1) I did not hire this company directly, they were used as a subcontractor by the acoustic ceilings company I used, Final Touch Ceilngs. I had no problems with Final Touch Ceilings. 2) I got the name of this company from the Waste Management company that dealt with the removed asbestos - they provided me with paperwork on the company listed as the transporter - it was not on my actual billing from Final Touch.
The above being said, I would not recommend this company. My husband dealt with them and let them in to the condo we were fixing up, so I did not meet them, but he noted that they were not at all friendly. Granted, it should be noted that this was during some of the hottest days of the summer that they were working. We offered to let them use the AC, but due to the nature of their work, they said it was not possible. Unfortunately the job was rather badly done. When I returned to lock up, I opened the door to peek in, and a large chunk of plaster or something of the sort fell from above the doorway and I quickly shut the door to avoid breathing in the dust from it. After the job was over, we found respirator masks, huge empty jugs of water bottles, and even a pair of used sneakers throughout the house which was a bit unprofessional. They also used a tacky substance on the upper part of the walls which stained the paint - paint that we had recently applied. I tried scrubbing, goo be gone, and other cleaning products, but could not remove the stains and stickiness so we had to re-paint the upper half of the walls in the rooms they worked in. I know it wasn't the texture company because the one room that did not need asbestos removed but was re-textured did not have the stain. There was also a 2 inch area of the wall where the paint was chipped off by being scraped by a ladder or some sort. Overall, they got the job done, but weren't careful or friendly about it.
